Whatever It Takes

LAUREN

"But why are you here, Lo?" Ally asked as I sighed, looking down at Luna. She was scarfing down sausage on her left hand, and a piece of waffle on her right. Camila kept on wiping the mess on her face, wasting an awful lot of tissues.

"Well, Luna's sick. She needs treatment. Thankfully, this guardian angel named Camilla Cabello's been helping out a lot. Financially." I whispered the last sentence gaining another side eyed glare from the other Cuban.

"Well, Mila already told me some details." Oh she did? "I'm sorry to hear that Lo. But Camila and I are here to help you in any way."

"Why are you being so nice to me? Shouldn't you hate me for--"

"Hate is not in my dictionary, Mama. You know that. There's no point of holding on grudge. You're my sister, one of the 4. I'm here to help." She smiled softly at me as I felt tears fall down my eyes. I walked up to her and hugged her tight, letting the tears fall.

"Thank you, Ally. I missed you so much." I whispered as she giggled.

"What happened to the bad ass Lolo I know? You turned sappy." She joked as I shook my head.

"Well, this little one happened. And I'm happy she did happen." I smiled kissing my daughters head.

"Where are you guys staying again? I'll be here the day after tomorrow. Maybe we could still meet up for dinner tomorrow? Early dinner maybe? I still want to catch up with Lolo."

"Natasha got us an apartment near the hospital. Gated, 24/7 security, Security camera's everywhere and stuff." Camila answered as Ally nodded her head.

"Well, send me the address so I could pick you guys up tomorrow. Or something before I leave." Ally said.

"So you're just here down south visiting Mani? How special." Camila said rolling her eyes at Ally. They both laughed completely taking me out of the conversation. I could see their bond got stronger, more genuine. It sucks that I missed out on alot of things, and missed out on mine too. "Hey Lo, let's go before traffic eats us."
She said stretching out her hand to me, but my daughter had faster reflex, beating me into holding Camila's hand.

"Mama." Luna said smiling up at Camila, which the other Cuban responded with a kiss on the forehead.

"Well, putting Laur and Mani in the same room is not ideal, Ally. Can we skip meeting Mani? For the sake of having hair, and no scratches?" Camila complained as Ally laughed .

"Okay, okay. I'm not bringing Normani." Ally said. We stopped infront of a Range Rover, guessing it was Ally's.

"Nice ride, Allysus!" I said admiring her car.

"Management gave it to us after Worth It became triple platinum." Ally said followed by an awkward silence.

Worth It became triple platinum after I left. It's not that it's questionable, but we didn't really think that song would be our hit. I didn't even sing a single line in that song, but whatever.

"You all did get a car? Wow. Management's good huh."
I joked as they smiled softly at me. "That's awesome." I said sincerely as Ally opened her car door.
