***Chapter 30***
“I’m Luke.” The blonde boy says, while extending his spare hand that wasn’t holding Lux for me to shake.
I shake his hand hesitantly, trying my hardest not to make it awkward.
“That’s Ashton, Michael and—“ Luke says but was cut off by the one with the very nice jaw bone.
“Calum.” He introduces his self with a smile.
“Drew.” I say, eyeing up the Aussies. “Sorry for, eh, walking in on you earlier.” I say with a light laugh. I’m still kind of embarrassed about that, if you couldn’t tell.
“It’s fine.” Luke says with a bright smile, which quickly transforms itself into a cheeky smirk. “I know you enjoyed it.”
“Yeah, well, I wouldn’t use the word ‘enjoyed’.” I begin, putting air quotes around the word enjoyed and then crossing my arms over my chest. “I think something more along the lines of horrified to scarred for life.” I say.
“Sassy.” Calum observes. “I like it.” I see Michael hit him lightly on the arm.
“So, babe, how’d you get backstage?” Ashton asks me. CALL MY CRAZY BUT I CANT BREATHE CONSIDERING A HOT AUSTRAILAN DRUMMER JUST CALLED ME BABE.
“I lied and said I was a security guard inspector.” I say naturally.
“Wait what?” Michael says, choking on his own spit. “That was you we say walking around in that ridiculous jacket earlier?”
“Yeah, with the clipboard and my hair pulled back. I thought I was very convincing. I guess that stupid security guard Joe did, too.” I say, laughing at the end of my sentences.
“Yeah, Joe’s really stupid…No idea why he’s guarding the backstage door.” Luke said, playing with Lux.
“I saw you guys perform.” I say, out of the blue. “You were awesome.” I smile.
“Thanks, babe.” Ashton says. WHAT IS WITH HIM.
“Anytime.” I smile once more.
“Do you play any instruments?” Michael asks.
“Erm, yeah, I play drums a bit. Josh taught me a lot.” I tell them, taking a seat on a nearby stool.
“You know Josh?” Ashton questions.
“Yeah. We’re actually pretty close.”
Calum wiggles his eyebrows at me. Cheeky Bastard. I roll my eyes at the boy.
“D’you wanna show us?” Luke asks me, not really giving me any choice, considering all the boys are already happy about the idea.
“I, uh, no, erm, not really.” I stumble with my words.
“C’mon.” Ashton says, standing up from behind the drumset and handing me his drum sticks. WOT NO.
“No, really, I—“
“Just play.” Michael says as Ashton pushes down my shoulders for me to sit on the stoll behind the drums. I turn around and glare at the boy. He just crosses his arms and smirks, as he leans against the wall waiting for me to begin.
