Chapter 6:

**Luke's p.o.v.**

" you guys look like a couple and you two would be so cute together." She said smiling at us. My cheeks felt hot. I looked at Nelly and saw her blushing. I just shrugged and smiled at her.

Hm, maybe i should ask her, but what if she doesn't feel the same way? This could ruin our friendship.

Why does this have to be difficult?

**Louis' p.o.v.**

" babe ! Look up there !" Eleanor said pointing to the top of the water slides.

And there was Nelly and Luke talking to a little girl. I saw Nelly shake her head no. The little girl probably asked if they were dating. They get that a lot. What i dont understand is why he won't ask her out !

**Nelly's p.o.v.**

" that was so much fun!" I said climbing out of the water.

" yeah except for the part where you ducked and all the water came at me." Luke pouted, dragging the tube out of the water. I just laughed at him.

" c'mon ! Lets go to the lazy river now you lazy bum!" I yelled dragging his arm.

" woah there Mrs Muscles !" Luke said laughing.

" excuse me for being a gymnast ! " i argue back, trying not to laugh. We reached the lazy river and sat in the tube.

It felt so relaxing to be just stilling in the water talking to my best friend. I feel like he has been distant since we got off the water slide. Was it something i said ? Wait, i didn't really say anything so it can't be that.

" so, umh, Nelly. I have to tell you something." Luke said opening his eyes.

" ok, shoot. Im all ears." I said pointing to my ears.

" ok, welll, i dont know how to start this. Ok, umh. Welllll, i, umh, i like you Nelly. Ever since i first met you. You are the most beautifulest girl i have ever saw. Im glad we are best friends, but i wish we could be more than that. I can tell you everything and anything. You understand me more than the guys do. I didn't want to tell you because i thought you wouldn't feel the same." He said letting out a breathe, then looking at the water.

" Luke, i like you too. More than just a friend. I always wanted to be your girlfriend but then i realized, you probably don't feel the same. Also, i realized that you could have any girl in the world, you wouldn't pick plain old Nelly Tomlinson. " i said looking at him.

He looked up at me. " are you kidding? Give me one reason why i wouldn't pick you out of everyone else."

" wellll, im not beautiful like the other girls.." I looked at the water.

He lifted my chin up so i was looking at him. " your right, your not beautiful" that stung. " your more than beautiful." My heart fluttered when those words came out of his mouth.

He looked me right in the eyes, then my lip, then back to my eyes. " can i?" He asked and i nodded.

He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. The kiss was soft and gentle, but i also felt sparks right when our lips touched. It sent off a tingling feeling. This kiss was nothing like the ones brandon and i shared.

I pulled away and blushed.

" welllll, Nelly Payton Tomlinson, will you be my girlfriend ? " Luke asked looking me dead in the eyes. I smiled and nodded. I heard squealing from behind us but i just ignored it, thinking it was just fans of us.

" we should probably head back to them. They are all just sitting on the chairs looking bored. " Luke laughed.

" yeah, the exits right there. " i said pointing a few feet in front of us.

Once we got to the steps, we got out of the tube and headed back to the rest of the group. I felt Luke grab my hand and intertwine our fingers. I look at him and smile.

We walk closer and you can hear mom. " OH MY GOD ! Look ! They are holding hands !"

" I KNEW THEY WOULD GET TOGETHER ! Liam pay up!" Harry yelled as we reached them.

" fine !" Liam yelled and grabbed 20 bucks and hands it to Harry.

" did you guys bet on us getting together?" I asked Harry.

" yes, see i knew you guys would get together. Liam over here thought you wouldn't. I bet him 20 bucks you guys would by the end of the pool day." Harry explained smirking.

" wait, where is Lindsey and Amber?" I asked looking at everyone in front of me.

" found them " Luke said looking behind us. There they were, hiding by the lazy river. That's why I heard squealing !

" girls !" I yelled to them. The looked at me with a big smile in there faces.

" yes?" They ask coming over to me.

" were you guys spying on me and Luke in the lazy river ?" I asked.

" yes!" " no !" The girls yelled at the same time. I groaned.

" they kissed !" Amber yelled and immediately covers her mouth and turns around. I blushed and looked down.

" awe ! My baby girl is growing up!" Dad cooed pinching my cheeks. I just blushed even more.

" Lou ! Your embarrassing her ! " mom scolded dad, but then ended up laughing.

Gee thanks for the help mom.
