Chapter 19:


**Nelly's p.o.v.**


I wake up to a beeping noise and my chest hurting.

" hey baby girl. How do you feel?" Dad asks holding my hand.

" my chest hearts." I croak out.

" here, the doctor told me to give you this when you wake up." He said handing me 2 pills and water. I quickly drink it down.

" how did the surgery go. Am i better ?" I ask and he nods.

" you have to stay here for 3 days instead. Your surgery went better than they planned. You don't have to stay as long anymore." He explained and i nodded.

" thank goodness. I dont like it in here. It scares me. " i say and he chuckles.

" are you ok enough for people to start coming in to see you?" He asks and i nod.

He gets up and walks out. A minute later he comes back with Rosie, mom, and Lilah.

" hey girlie. How you feeling?" Lilah says coming to the bed.

" im in a little pain in my chest, but besides that, im feeling fine. I just cant wait to see Luke. Where is he anyway?" I ask looking at dad. He had a guilty expression plastered on his face.

" dad, what did you do?" I ask and his head hung low.

" yeah, i dont know how to say this but. Nellythetvsaidhecheatedonyousoitoldhimhecantseeyouanymore." He said with a guilty smile.

" one more time but slower. I think i heard you wrong. I heard that on tv, it said he cheated on me and you told him he can't see me anymore."

" baby girl. It hurts me to say this but you heard right. " my heart shattered.

" he-he couldn't have ! No he didn't ! " i yell and tears start streaming down my face.

I curl in and ball and pull my kitten stuffed animal and my 5sos blanket closer to my body.

The door bursts open and everyone looks. It was Luke.

" Nelly ! Your up !" He yelled running to my bed.

" im sorry, he ran right in and right past me. I couldn't catch him." Paul said running in.

" explain." I said to Luke and he stopped dead in his tracks.

" Nell i swear i would never cheat on you. You know me better than that. I swear to god i would never do that. You don't understand how horrible i would feel if i ever did. You dad sent me out of here and i was crying. Please, please believe me." He explained.

" dad? Is there any proof? Like a picture of him kissing another girl?" I asked and he shook his head no. " than why aren't you believing him? " i asked.

" he said it on video." Dad said and i groaned.

" dad, you should know by now. They edit out your words to make you look bad. I believe Luke. " i say and look at him. He sighed in relief.

" can more people come in?" A head popped in the doorway. Perrie. My smile grew.

" Nelly !" She yelled running in.

" Perrie !" I yell and she hugs me.

" im glad your ok !" She said pulling away and wiping a few tears from her cheeks.

" why are you crying ?!" I asked.

" i didn't know if you were going to make it !" She said and laughed.

" hey Nelly-Belly!" Zayn and Liam said coming in the room.

" hey guys !" I said and they hugged me.

" im glad your feeling better !" Zayn said and Liam nodded.

" awe thanks guys !" I said and then the door opened again.

In came Niall and a girl iv never seen before.

" kitten ! Your up !" He said letting go of the girls hand and running to me.

" snowflake !" I yelled laughing. He ran to me and almost picked me up, from hugging me so much.

" Niall, let the poor girl go and come back over here. " the girl said. My mouth dropped.

" excuse you. But who do you think you are ?" Dad said walking closer to my bed.

" im Julia Lanbarg. Niall's girlfriend." She said smirking.

" wait, Niall, you thought i would scare HER away ?" I asked and he nodded looking down.

" why would you think i scare it away, when she is like that." I said and Julia's mouth dropped.

" Nelly, dont talk about her like that!" Niall yelled. My eyes widened. He did not just yell at me.

" good luck mate. Your in for some deep shiz." Zayn said patting his back and walking out of the room.

" excuse me? Did you just yell at me?!" I yelled and he nodded.

" why are you even hear?!" I yelled at Julia.

" because Niall invited me here ! Got a problem ?!" She asked walking toward me.

" actually , yeah i do ! I dont like THINGS in the same room as me." I say and her mouth dropped again.

" Niall get your girlfriend out of here. Nelly cant deal with all of this at once. " dad said panicking.

" you know what, than why are you in this room?" Julia asked.

" you make no sense ! Just leave! No one wants you !" I yelled trying to get out of bed but Luke grabbed my waist and held me down.

" NELLY ! DONT YOU DARE SAY THAT TO HER EVER AGAIN !" Niall yelled at me, AGAIN.

" oh heck naw " i mumbled and was trying to pry myself out of Luke's grip.

" LUKE ! Let me go ! Imma kill him !" I yelled.

" exactly ! Stop. Nelly look at me. Stop. You can't do this. Stop. Calm down. Baby stop. " Luke said trying to calm me down.

" Niall ! Get your fu-king girlfriend out ! You need to leave too ! GO !" Dad yelled.

The heart monitor started beating faster and faster. Doctors started rushing in and yelled for everyone to get out. I started feeling dizzy but i felt Luke's hand tightly grab mine.

" it's ok Nelly. Stay with me. It will be ok." He said softly and i nodded. " don't close your eyes. Stay with me. Look at me. " i looked at him but my eyes were drooping.

" sir, you need to leave. I dont want you watching this !" A doctor said to Luke.

" no i need to stay. She needs me. " he said and the doctor sighed.

My eyes closed and i slipped into darkness.


**Luke's p.o.v.**


That was the hardest thing i had to see. Nelly being shocked back to life.

" no Nelly, you can't leave me. Please. " i sniffled. " please."

I held her small hand close to me. Thinking it was the last time ill ever hold her hand.

" sir, please leave the room. " a nurse said to me.

" no ! Im not leaving her ! The doctor said i can stay !" I yell and look back at Nelly.

" kids." The nurse mumbled. I ignored it though. Im not in the mood to fight with the nurse.


The nurses started to leave and now it was just the doctor in the room.

" so? How bad ? Will she live ? " i asked.

" Luke, shes going to live. Its ok. Nothing bad, its just that her heart wasnt ready for all of that. She still has to stay in here til tomorrow though. You and Mr. And Mrs. Tomlinson can stay over night. I know this must be hard. " the doctor said and i nodded.

he walked out the door and then Louis and Eleanor came walking in. Eleanor was sobbing, like to where she looked like she was hyperventilating.

" what is wrong with Niall? I thought Nelly meant everything to him? " i asked and Louis just shook his head.

" Liam said he will take care of Niall. And we shouldn't worry about him, we should just focus on Nelly. Her birthday is in 2 weeks and i was thinking about throwing her a party. Not a surprise because we threw her one every single year. This year will be different." Louis said smiling.


**Louis' p.o.v.**


Nelly's 18th birthday is in 2 weeks and i want this birthday to be special- well, more special.

Last years party didn't end so well. Brandon came, started to try and make out with Amber, then tried to touch Nelly. Of course, me being the father i am, i stepped in and he decided to throw punches. We fought and then he landed on the cake..

Lets just say, it wasn't the best birthday party shes ever had. Iv been trying and trying to make it even better than the year before, but it always ends up horrible.

" ok, so invite all her friends and family. That includes your family, and the boys' family. Ill invite my family because i mean, my mom loves her. Anyway. We should have it in a big place and put up all these decorations- like everywhere. We should have a mini stage in the front of the room so people can sing/DJ and we can sing to her while shes up there. " Luke explained writing things down.

I just nodded. I mean, what else am i saposta say? I look at Eleanor and she had everything figured out, nothing like me. Ill just have to stay with her this whole time.

" alright. Lou, and me will start inviting people. You find a place to have this party and then find the perfect cake and decorations. Then have the guys help you get them all. Me and Lou will order food and go out and buy all the food once the time comes for that. Ok?" Eleanor said and Luke nodded.

" im so confused." I said and put my head in my hands.

" god Lou, keep up. Your slacking !" Eleanor joke.

This is gonna be a fun two weeks. Hence the sarcasm.
