Chapter 24:

**Nelly's p.o.v.**

Its been 10 minutes and Lilah still isn't heree. I start to pace my room when my phone goes off.

' caller unknown '

I answer anyway.

" hello, Nelly speaking."

" hello Miss Tomlinson, its Simon. I would like to inform you that in 2 and a half weeks, you are going on tour with Hunter Hayes. You will be his opening act for 4 months. You will be heading to the states for tour. Also, you leave on a Wednesday morning. We will have body guards at the airport for you to pick you up. Ok ?" He says through the phone.

" umh, ok ? " i say not really sure about what to say.

" see you soon Nelly." He says and hangs up.

Talk about a weird phone call...

Ill just tell dad about it laterrr.

I heard the door open and i rushed down the stairs.

" Lilah !" I yell and jump on her.

" well hello to you too. " she said laughing. " i brought someone."

" is it Ryan ?!" I asked excitedly.

" yep. Come here Ryan." A little boy came out from behind her legs and i smiled.

" hello, my name is Nelly. You must be Ryan " i said sticking out my hand.

" im Ryan ! " he said with a smile. He looked at my hand and looked at his. Instead of shaking my hand, he runs to me and hugs my waist. I hug him back and my smile grows.

" welll Ryan. Do you want to go in the kitchen and eat lunch then we can go to the park ?" Lilah asked. He let go and nodded his little bald head.

He is probably the cutest little guy iv ever seen.

We headed to the kitchen and he sat down in the seat Niall usually sits in. I awkwardly looked around.

" Nelly ?! What is that on your cheek ? Did Luke hit you? " Lilah exclaimed.

" no, no . It was my best friend Niall who did. Like a half hour or more before you came. Luke said i shouldn't put cover up over it. So i didn't. " i say and she checks out my cheek.

" are you sure he didnt punch you in the face ?"

" im prett- just kidding im not sure. All i remember was his hand at my face. " i say while Lilah makes Ryan a sand which.

" ohh. Ill show him a piece of my mind." She said rolling up her sleeves.

" im pretty sure dad already did that. " i say laughing.

She laughs and gives Ryan his sand which and chips to eat. She grabs a juice box and opens it for him. She put it in front of his plate and he grabbed it and drank some.

" oh Lilah. So Simon called me." I say and she looks at me with raised eyebrows.

" Simon. As in Simon Cowell ?" She asked.

" yeah he said that i am going on tour with Hunter Hayes after my birthday. Its for 4 months too. " a smile laid at my lips.

" really ?! That's amazing ! Have you told any of the boys yet ?"

" ... No. I mean, i am going too.. But i dont know how. I cant just be like ' hey guys, im leaving after my birthday for 4 months in the states with Hunter Hayes . ' like no. " i say and she laughs and rolls her blue eyes at me.

" we should all go to the park !" I say and Ryan's eyes light up as he nods his head, with a smile plastered on his face.

We gets our shoes and coats on and head outside. We run to the car, but be careful not to fall into the snow, and hop in. I buckle up Ryan and then buckle myself.

It took about 10 minutes to get there, but when we did, we instantly hoped out and ran to the park.

" push me ! " Ryan yelled to me, while hopping on the swing. I smiled and ran over to him.

I pushed him on the swing and we joked around.

He didnt seem like he had cancer. He was carefree and fun, like he didnt care that cancer was in him, killing him. Thats what i love about him, he is still living his life, like he doesn't have it.

" im tired Nelly." Ryan said rubbing his eyes.

" ok, lets get you home and you can sleep." I say with a smile and he weakly smiles back at me.

I pick him up and go to the car. Lilah met us and hopped in. I buckled him up and we drove off to his house.

Once we got there, i hopped out and grabbed him. I carried him to his front door and his mom opened the door. She smiled and a smile grew on my face.

" good night Ryan. I had a lot of fun today. I hope we can do it again. Ok? Ill come over again soon." I say hugging him.

" good night Nelly. I did too. I cant wait to hang out with you again. Come back soon !" He says and me and his mom laugh. I give him one last hug, then Lilah does. We walk back to the car and pull away. We wave until we can't see each other anymore.

" im so happy. You don't even understand. Thank you so much for doing that. " Lilah says looking at me.

" it was no problem. I could really tell how he lived his life care free and enjoying the little bit of life he has left. I love that about him. He is probably the strongest little 4 year old i have ever met. " i say and she smiles.

" yeah, I'd hate to see him go though. His little blue eyes are just the cutest i have ever seen tooo. " Lilah says laughing.

" welll, i better get some sleep. Tomorrow, Luke leaves for tour." I breathe out and she nods.

" goodnight girlie. I love you. Stay strong little one. " she says kissing my forehead.

" goodnight Lilah. I love you too." I say back and head upstairs.

Im gonna miss Luke. He was the only one who could possibly stop me from crying. What am i gonna do if i do that again and he is half way across the world ?
