His Bet

Chapter Thirty Two

I woke up when I hear a buzzing sound from somewhere so I get up and find it. I search on the sheets but its not there then I saw Brix sitting lazily sleeping on the single couch. Then I remembered him telling me we are suppose to go back upstairs so I got up and wake him up.

"Hey wake up. We need to get back now." I said but I bet he's not hearing me. Now I feel guilty because I'm sure he was tired last night having a shortage of sleep instead of sleeping normally upstairs with his brothers. I continue to wake him up but its not working so mock a pillow on his face.

"I said wake up!" I whisper shout.

As the pillow hit his face he suddenly got up, call me and search anywhere. When I get in the line of his vision he sigh.

"You okay?" He snapped.

"Of course. I'm just waking you up its almost six." I shrug.

He rubbed his hand in his face before standing. "Sorry I didn't hear the clock."

"Its okay.. I should be sorry for staying you awake for long last night. Let's go?"

He nodded and make sure that we leave the room as it is when we get there last night. Its silent on the whole house and the sun is starting to shine.

Brix is holding me in my wrist as we silently step into the living room to head upstairs.

"Everyone will be up in 7 so we have an hour nap." He whispered so I nodded. I just let him drag me. He's just touching my sleeves so that's fine. As we are now in front of the room Brix ever so lightly twist the knob and check out if they are all asleep. When everything's fine he hold me again and we get inside quietly as ever.

I sat on the bed as he carefully lay down on the mattress. He got up on his left elbow and mouthened me 'sleep' so I nodded lay down close my eyes and try to sleep.

This would be a long long day..

Before I realize that I've fallen asleep I hear noises.

"Acy wake up. Time for breakfast." I heard someone say. I groaned through frustration. I just got asleep and its time to wake up.

I let that first sank in my mind before I get up and saw the boys putting back the mattresses and pillows in the bed while the other is folding back the sheets to the drawer. I lazily got up and do the same thing on my bed.

Then we left through the door and head downstairs. The 5 boys look freshen up and fine when they wake up while me and Brix are having a contest of who has the bigger and darker under eye circles. I glance on him and happens that he's gazing also on me. We both burst out into muffled laughter when we saw each other.

"You look awful." I laughed.

"Thanks for the compliment but you also does angel face." That doesn't offend me so we just laughed at each other. After last night I feel like I can be with him now after all the nights he's been there. Before we realize everyone is now looking at us as we can't even contain our laughter.

"What's the wrong with you two?" They asked. I bit my lip to stop another set of laugh and glance one last time to Brix before I stepped away. None of us Brix answered then he asked a question to completely change the subject.

"What's for breakfast ma?" He asked her smiling.

"I bet you guys doesn't eat a real food back to your house so I cook curry, chicken and potatoes." She placed the pots in the middle of the table as the boys put their phones on the bowl before having a seat.

"Yes ma. Kalvin has been cooking trash and I wonder why we don't hospitalized for food poison." Simon told Kalvin more than his grandma.

"And its unfair that its only Red who has the chance to eat a great food everyday because he's with Ace most of the time. I offered Ace to stay with us so we can eat nice food."
