Chapter Twenty Six

I saw Red talking to Brix and I'm sure they are talking about something serious. I just can't figure that out and I'm out of the mood to ask any questions. I didn't even bother to ask about on what part in New York are we heading to. I just sat there looking at the window. I can hear that the brothers are having a conversation about their things, baseball, girls and cars etc. Its good that they're not making fun of me now. I guess by the way they look at me they can read that I'm not in a good mood to talk or to play games with them. I just can't stop thinking and worrying about such things. I don't know how am I going to avoid Green if we are this near with each other. If I only knew that things will turn out like this I must have drop my yes and refuse their offer to be with them.

Wait. I didn't even said yes!

Letting an audible sigh which I don't intend to let them hear I heard some silence so I turned my head to them.

"What?" I asked when I saw all of them gazing at me.

They didn't reply for a sec and then look at each other. I don't know if they're having the brothers-mental-telepathy stuff or somethin'.

Simon let out a small chuckle before settling beside me.

"Looks like you're in a miles away princess. Wanna play some games with us?" He said wiggling his eyebrows at me and look at his brothers.

"Don't worry, this game would be different now." Kalvin added. Of course they will offer me some kind of fake benefit. They just want to play around.

I scoffed. "I'm not falling for your fake benefit."

"C'mmon princess. We have so much time in this car we don't want you to get bored." Its Chris who said that.

"I'm not bored okay." I replied before turning again my attention to the window.

They talked with hushed sounds until Brix said..

"A tub of chocolate ice cream would be nice for a prize." He shrugged.

I snapped back my attention to them and look at them intensely finding where the ice cream tub is.

They all laughed in unison and I feel my cheeks turned to a shade of pink.

"Looks like someone caught off guard because of the ice cream." Kalvin laughed.

"No I'm not!" Throwing a glare to all of them.

"Well I didn't say that its you. But it looks like really you."

They start gathering themselves and I know they are about to start their game.

I look at Red and saw him half smiling. I think he also miss his brothers being like this. I mean he's always away from them. It just tugged my heart that I feel like I've been tagging along with him and I can't even let him feel like this the way his brothers are after all the things he did for me. Before I can even blink..

"I'm in." I plainly stated coming over them.

I saw Red's shocked reaction so I smiled at him. "How about you?" He returned back the smile and come over.

"So the game will be Guess-that-word. We will be having three teams each one with a partner the other one will pick a word from our sets of word, stick on his forehead and let him guess what word is stuck in his forehead, he will be guided by his partner by saying Yes, No or Maybe by the guesses the other one is going to throw. We only have 2 mins with each partners to guess that word. Clear?" He explained. We all agreed to the mechanics.

"Where's the ice cream tub anyway?" I piped.

"You serious? After that game all you wanna have is a tub of ice cream?" Simon asked.
