We are now walking back home while I'm orienting her about what to say and what to not when they ask questions especially ma. She seems not forthcoming about lying and pretending so I apologize if she needs to do such things. It's for her own good anyway so to make things easier for her when they asked questions she doesn't need to answer and leave it to me. She thanked me for that, for keeping this as a secret, for doing such things and she apologized that I need to lie to my brothers and ma just to keep this as a secret. Beyond everything some people has done to her, she still always think for the good of the other person.

How so ironic and thoughtful of her..

I've decided to let her cool first before we walk in. She was troubled and nervous wreck of this morning turning of events. If I were to ask it's okay for me to walk out from the maid's room with her but obviously all of this is suppose to be a secret so there's no left ticket than this.

I side glance at her as we walk to the morning empty road and I noticed how often she ball her small fists turning her knuckles into white. She needs to feel safe and sure so slowly I slid my hands with hers and tried to unfold her grip. She quickly snapped her head to our joined hands and up to my face with that puzzled look.
Her hands were a bit sweaty and her nervousness is obviously on the roof.

"It's gonna be okay sweetheart. I got you." I genuinely smiled at her with a wink.

She didn't unfold her grip so I let her be. Here she goes again, a while ago we're fine and just in a snap she's shutting me out. What am I going to do with this girl? I'm fucking swear she's driving me nuts. Biting back the low groan of frustration in the back of my head we walk in the front lawn and she automatically slip her hands away.

I sigh.

Why torture me like this kitty?

I decided to just let her process everything so I didn't insist on holding her hands. We were walking a few steps apart when I slow my pace. She bumped at my back and by that I knew she's having a war inside her head.

"I'm sorry." She breathe out. Picking her fingers her chest drastically rising up high and low in a fast rhythm.

I turned to her.

"You want a minute baby?" I asked.

"No! I mean.. Let's get inside. It's all fine." She quickly answered.

We stepped in the doorway and as what we're expecting all their eyes were fixated on us. If I knew any better she's hiding at my back because my brothers tryna' look at the figure behind me.

"The two are here ma!" Simon shouted loud enough for ma to hear and she appeared from the dining room.

"You two, where have you been?" She asked scrutinizing us as she wiped her hands with the towel she's holding. As the question left her mouth I felt a fist on my back. Crumpling my shirt just like it will save her for dear life.

I knew right then she's a mess.

"We're gone for the park ma." I answered nonchalantly.

"Park huh? Since when park became fancy for you Brix?" Chris teased.

The fist behind me became stronger.

"Kitty was walking out too early from the bed earlier so I decided to accompany her. Don't want her to get lost to somewhere she's not into."

"You might have kidnapped her douchebag." Red snapped at me.

"How could you think of that Red?" She snapped back at him quick before I could blink. I automatically turned my attention to her as I saw how her eyebrows almost met as she frowns.
