Nebraska

Emily's pov

All I could feel was Delly kicking me in her which was keeping me awake. I thought I was the only one, until I heard quiet sobs, I looked at the bunk across from me. Ross's bunk. It was pitch black and I couldn't exactly see but he was crying and that I could tell. I slowly and very carefully stood up not making a noise and turned on the lamp in the corner. I looked at Ross's bunk seeing blood escaping cuts on his wrist. I ran quietly into the first aid cupboard and grabbed bandages and alcohol wipes. I ran back and I climbed onto Ross's bunk. "Stop" he said to me as I shook my head "what you did to me was completely wrong and I'm not saying I forgive you but I'm not going to watch you harm yourself over it" I whispered back at him. "Don't you see it's not just you, it's everything that comes with this life of fame, nobody likes me" he said back "Ross, that's silly, don't say that millions of girls drop at your feet, gorgeous ones too. 'Why'd you choose me?' " I quoted my tattoo as Ross realizing "is that what your tattoo is about?" He asked, me nodding. "This will sting" I said putting the wipe on Ross's fresh cuts, he winced and bit down hard on his lip. Once I wiped up the blood and cleaned the cut,  I grabbed a bandage wrapping it around his wrist and clipped it up. "I chose you because you're not afraid of being yourself, you're not scared to beat someone for insulting you or our family and most importantly you're gorgeous, your blonde hair and blue eyes absolutely make me melt inside. I can't live with the fact that I hurt you. That is why I chose you and I love you" he said. I looked up at him seeing his tear stained gorgeous brown eyes. 

I forgive him too often, way too easily, it has to be different this time, he has to know he can't put his hands on me or any other woman."Ross. I'm sorry I can't" I said hopping off the bunk, he grabbed my arm and I turn to face him. "What does this mean for us?" He asks, his voice cracking "Ross you get off way to easily, I don't want things getting to your head, I love you so much, you see this ring on my finger, I'm not leaving but we need to take-" I was cut off by his warm lips hitting mine. We pulled apart after a minute, me staring at him with lust in my eyes, he pushed his forehead towards mine "Em I want to marry you, I want to have a kid with you I want to have a life with you" Ross whispered. "So do I, god I miss our little boy" I whispered back tears falling now. "Reece was beautiful and it's up to us to keep his memory going" Ross said as I nodded. "Goodnight Ross" I said giving him a kiss then getting up, turning off the lamp and climbing back to Rydel's bed "goodnight em" Ross sighed "friends?" I asked "friends" he replied sadly paying my fist bump. It's just temporary. 

-the next day-

We had just arrived in Nebraska, we get to stay in a hotel for the night as Mark and Stormie are getting sick of the bus. I woke up and went to the bathroom, put on some high waisted jean shorts, a white low cut tank top and a plaid jacket to go with it. I wore my curls out and applied some foundation, contour, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick before walking into the kitchen. "Good morning Stormie, is it okay if I make breakfast before we go to the hotel?" I said hugging Stormie. "Sure sweetheart that would be a delight, how are you? I heard about what happened and I'm so so sorry, it's extremely out of character for him" Stormie said "I'm okay, I know he didn't mean it" I whispered as she nodded back "it's not an excuse though honey, listen if you ever need anything come to me" she said "thank you Stormie" I said while grabbing some eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausages and bread. I turned on the little stove and started cooking. After 25 minutes everything was cooked. Rydel came out and set up plates for everyone. Stormie told us we could start eating without the boys since they weren't awake yet. Delly sat next to me and we both ate having a conversation, Mark and Stormie at on the other table engaging in their own. Riker and Sav soon came out saying good morning and joined Stormie and Mark.

 Less then five minutes later Ross emerged from the bunk room shirtless and sat across from Rydel and I. "Morning" Ross said, his sexy morning voice making me choke on my food. I began coughing and drank some water "are you okay?" Rydel asked patting my back, I nodded through a cough "morning" I said back. God the hold this man has on me, it's going to kill me one day. Stormie and Mark finished eating and left, Ryland, Rocky and Ell taking their place. Ryland started to make conversation with everyone as the room was feeling silent and tense. "How'd you sleep?" He asked "as best you can when someone's kicking you and AND talking" I said jokingly glaring at Delly. "Sorry babes well I slept good, what bout you two?" Delly asked "like a charm" Ryland said "good" Ross said quietly, his eyes meeting mine "Ross why have you got a bandage on?" Rydel asked "I think I stuffed my wrist playing the guitar, I bandage it" he lied shrugging "oh" Rydel said. "Kids we're here" Stormie yelled. I began picking up our empty plates and placed them in the sink. I grabbed my suitcase and started to make my way out. "Here I'll take it" Ross said removing it from my grip "thanks but you don't have too" I said "anything for a friend, you look good by the way" he winked as I blushed. Stormie handed us our usual rooms. Ross, Delly, Ell and I and Rocky, Sav, Riker and Ryland, Stormie and Mark obviously had their own. 

We walked into our room, it had that amazing hotel smell. I flopped down on the bed landing on my back as the others chuckled. "So what are the sleeping arrangements, you two good or-? "I'll take the couch" I said cutting Delly off "uhm oh ok" she said awkwardly. "No I will, it's fine" Ross said "no" I got up and placed my bag on it, claiming it as he sighed.  "Wait we don't have a show tonight, time to party" Delly yelled high fiving Ell. "So what's the deal with you two?" Delly asked. Wow way to make things awkward. "We're friends?" I said more like a question than an answer looking over at Ross. "Don't worry, I'm working on it and ill continue too" Ross said to Rydel "ok good and if you ever put your hands on her again, unless it's a way of showing affection, I will fuck you up and you know I will, now let's play a game" Rydel said pointing to Ross, speaking in a serious tone before changing it up when suggesting we play a game. "I won't Rydel, that's not me. I regretted it instantly. I love her to much to hurt her again" he told Rydel meaningfully. I knew it was out of character for him but I also don't know what came over him. 

"Oh let's play knock and run" Rydel yelled, us all standing up "wait" I said motioning for them to follow me to the balcony "I have an idea that's Rocky's room, it's easy to get on his balcony, Rydel camera out" I pointed across to Rocky, Riker, Savannah and Ryland's room. I started to climb over the gap, Ross gasping and grabbing my waist as I smirked cheekily. It wasn't that big of a gap but I did refuse to look down. Rydel pressed record, their curtains were closed, their balcony door open just a crack. "Omg it's R5" I screamed in my best fangirl voice, their heads shooting towards the sound. "What the hell" Riker yelled coming towards the door and opening the curtains quickly. "Wow Emily you idiot, you really pulled off that voice haha very funny" Riker said sarcastically as I climbed back to our balcony. We all took out shoes off and played knock and run on our hotel floor, almost getting caught multiple times. "Ross run faster you slow poke" I whisper yelled as we ran around a corner "what was that?" he turned to me, a grin across his face "no don't do it" I yelled but was to late at his hands began to tickle my sides. "Ross you cliché piece of shit" I said just above a whisper "say you wanna make love to me all night long and I'll stop" he said continuing to tickle me. "I-I wanna ma-make love t-to y-ou all n-night" I managed to stutter out and he stopped "I'll take you up on that" he whispered winking at me. "You got that Rydel?" He asked looking over at Rydel who was filming and giving us the thumbs up. "You guys are too cute, just make up already, and no making love in our room please" Rydel said pointing at us "no promises" Ross said, I rolled my eyes, Ell and Rydel making a face of disgust. I leaned in and kissed Ross's lips gently. He pulled back shocked "friends aren't supposed to know how you taste" Ross whispered to me, his warm breath against my skin. "I love you...friend" I whispered allowing my lips to touch his again. "Alright lovebirds up you get" Ell said loudly "Ugh Ell you ruined their moment" Rydel huffed walking away leaving Ross and I on the ground staring into each others eyes.
