Harry's eyes widen all of a sudden. Confused, I turn around to see what's so shocking. My eyes widen as well the minute they land on what Harry's seeing. Not a what, a who.
"What's he doing here?" Harry hisses, through clenched teeth. I tighten my grip on Harry's hand because I know exactly what he's planning.
"Harry, don't." I say, sternly. "It's a free country, so calm down." Why the heck did Josh have to be here? Singapore is huge, but he had to come here, on the harbor, tonight? My eyes trail back to Josh, and for some reason his face is covered with bruises. What happened? Did he get into a fight? Harry promised me that he wouldn't lay a finger on Josh, and I believe him. But, what happened to Josh?
"What's wrong with his face?" I voice my thoughts out loud.
"Karma," Harry murmurs. I tug at his arm. I don't want Harry to start a fight with Josh
"Come on," I hiss, tugging Harry's arm again. This time Harry takes a step away from Josh. "Don't spoil our night. Please."
"It's already spoiled." Harry says, his tone dismissive. Why does everything happen to us? Everything was so perfect, and now nothing will go right. I know it.
"Harry, I don't believe that. We can still salvage this night. After all, it is our first date." I say, trying to cheer him up. Harry smiles, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
"You're right. We can save this night. After all, it's out first date, after so long. A new beginning," Harry says. From his tone, I can tell everything's fine now. Thank God.

"When's our food coming? I'm so hungry," I groan. We placed our order five minutes ago, and I know I'm acting impatient. However, I'm extremely hungry. When I'm hungry I'm not the same person.
"Mus, have patience. We just placed our order." Harry says, chuckling. "Here, take another piece of garlic bread." Harry passes the basket to me, and I take another garlic bread from the basket. I bite into it, glancing around the restaurant. It's pretty empty, and peaceful.
"Did you miss me?" I ask Harry. I don't know why I'm asking him this question. It just seems highly important.
"Of course." Harry replies, without missing a beat. I smile, taking his hand into mine.
"What happened to you? Liam said you became cold. Why?" Harry sighs, passing his hand through his hair.
"You broke me when you accepted Josh's proposal. I had been trying and trying, but Mus, you didn't see my efforts. Heck, you didn't even see me anymore. I was like an invisible wall for you." Harry's voice is filled with pain, and desperation. His eyes are facing the floor. "My daughter hated me. I started to think that I was a bad person. I guess I let the thought take over my mind, and then my heart." Harry shrugs, and looks up at me.
"I-I..." I don't know what to say. I can't apologize. What's the point? I have nothing to say. He's right, though. I ignored his efforts, and I stopped seeing him. He was totally invisible to me. Harry rubs his thumb along the back of my hand.
"Don't overthink the past. It'll make you sad." Harry says, smiling. "The only important thing is that we're here together. Forever." I nod my head, hoping that the smile on my face looks genuine.
"I'll just head to the bathroom." Harry says, pushing his chair back. I nod my head, and Harry turns around, heading towards the bathroom. I don't want to think about what Harry said because it'll make me unhappy, but my mind keeps wandering back to his words. I play with the fork, and spoon as I wait for Harry. I just hope that this is it. I hope that we never break up again. I don't want to. I love Harry, a lot. Suddenly, I feel a flaring pain shoot through my head. I drop the fork and spoon on the floor, and take my head in my hands. I bite my lip to suppress my yell.
"Ma'am, are you okay?" Someone asks me. I want to open my eyes and see who it is, but I can't. I shake my head. As quickly as it came, my headache vanishes. There's no pain. I open my eyes, taking in a deep breath of relief. I turn to my left to see a waiter, looking highly concerned.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks," I say. Hesitantly, he leaves my side. I've never felt such pain before. It was excruciating. Due to the pain, a few stray tears left my eyes. Hastily, I wipe them. I don't want Harry to know about this episode. He'll get highly concerned for no reason, whatsoever.
"How dare you lay a finger on her!?" I hear Harry yell from the bathroom. Eyes wide, I push my chair back and rush towards the bathroom. Who is he yelling at? Without giving it a second thought, I barge into the men's bathroom. Harry has Josh pinned against the wall. Josh's nose is bleeding, and he looks as if he's on the verge of passing out.
"Harry!" I yell, astonished at this sight. I rush towards them, and grab Harry's arm. "Get off him!" My efforts to pull Harry back are in vain.
"Bastard!" Harry yells, striking another blow at Josh. I hear the door open, and slam shut. I turn around to find a waiter entering the bathroom.
"Get him off," I say. The waiter nods and tugs at Harry's arm. This time, Harry stumbles backwards. I guess he was taken by surprise. Taking the opportunity, I head to Josh's aid. He's bruised and bleeding. Poor guy, he was bruised already, and now he has new wounds, and his old ones have opened up.
"Josh, get up." I say, taking his face into my hands. Josh winces, and I cringe at the level of pain that he's going through. I need to take him to the hospital at once. Groaning, Josh gets up, and puts all his weight on me.
"Mus, let him go." Harry says, grabbing my arm. I shrug his hand off my arm.
"Harry, he's dying. Are you blind?!" I shriek, turning my head to face Harry. "He's bleeding, and bruised. Help me take him to hospital or leave." Harry purses his lips, and opens his mouth. However, he shuts it again.
"I'll help. Take my phone, and call an ambulance." Harry says, holding his phone towards me. I take it with my right hand, and Harry takes Josh's arm over his shoulders. The waiter helps him take Josh outside. Hastily, I dial the ambulance's number and the man promises me that they'll be here in less than five minutes. I rush outside the bathroom, hoping that Josh is fine, and breathing. To my relief, I find Josh leaning against the wall of the restaurant, eyes half open. Harry is standing beside him. However, he looks as if someone's holding him there.
"Is he fine? Did you give him water?" I ask Harry as I reach his side.
"Yeah," Harry says. "We gave him water, and a pain killer. I hope the killer part works." I roll my eyes at Harry's lame joke.
"The ambulance is coming." I say, glancing over Josh's body. Bruises are covering every single inch of his body. I can't see a single patch of unharmed skin.
"Why is he covered in bruises?" I think out loud. Harry shrugs his shoulders, although his expression is indecipherable.
"G-Gangsters...cornered me." Josh says, loud enough for me to hear. "T-They said...th-that I upset their b-boss." I scrunch my eyebrows, thinking hard. Gangsters cornering Josh? Since when has Josh started to mingle with gangsters? I'm pretty sure he didn't take a loan from some drug lord, and I'm pretty sure Josh hates any form of violence. They must have a misunderstanding.
"Josh, stay quiet and breathe." I say, placing my hand on his shoulder. Josh gives a small nod of his head, and shuts his eyes. I move my hand from his shoulder to his wrist so that I know he's still alive.
"Mus, he'll be fine. The guy's not that weak." Harry scoffs from behind me.
"Don't be so insensitive." I scold Harry. He might not like Josh, but that doesn't mean that he should be so cruel towards him. Harry is the cause of Josh's pain. He should feel a little sorry.
"The ambulance is here!" A man yells from behind me. Harry takes my arms, and gently tugs me backwards. I allow him to move me towards the opposite wall so that the men have easy access to Josh.
"Josh will be fine." Harry says, comfortingly. I nod my head, even though I'm not fully satisfied. Once Josh has been taken away on the stretcher, Harry guides me toward the exit. Is this always going to happen? Will Harry and Josh always fight or argue whenever they meet? Isn't there any way to avoid this violence? For some reason, I cause a lot of problems.
