I enter the breakfast room, quickly glancing around the room to see if Darcy's here. She's near the omelet station, waiting in line. Louis and Liam are behind her. Grabbing a plate, I head towards them. The minute Louis sees me, he waves his hand, motioning for me to take his place. I oblige.
"Do you want an omelet?" I ask him. Louis shakes his head.
"Liam and I were standing in line because of Darcy. If anything happens to her, Harry will have our heads." Louis explains, heading toward the bread area with Liam. All of them care about her a lot. I'm standing right behind Darcy, and I'm sure she heard me. However, she doesn't acknowledge my presence. I clear my throat. Still, Darcy doesn't turn around.
"The silent treatment, huh?" I say, as we move one step ahead.
"You deserve it." Darcy answers, curtly. She's still not facing me.
"What did I do wrong?" I tap my fingers in sync to the music on my plate.
"Well, for starters, you slept with him." Darcy whispers as if she's afraid that someone will hear her.
"So, you think that's wrong?" I want to smile, but I bite my lip, controlling myself. Darcy nods her head vigorously.
"That's very, very wrong." Darcy says, raising her tone slightly. "He's...he's..." I raise an eyebrow, waiting for her to finish her sentence. Darcy groans in frustration, and exits the line. I follow suite. She heads over to the bread section, and grabs a croissant, and a muffin.
"You sleeping with him goes against everything that you've told me." Darcy says, as she marches toward the table where Louis, Liam and Niall are seated.
"People change," I say. Darcy pulls a chair our for herself, and sits down on it with a lot of anger.
"That chair might break." Louis murmurs, laughing. A small smile tugs at the corner of my mouth, but I have to control it. Again.
"People might, but not him." Darcy says, stabbing a fork into the muffin. Talk about being angry with someone.
"Is he an alien? And for God's sake, stop calling Harry 'him.' He's your father, call him dad or something." I say, taking a bite of Niall's blueberry muffin. Niall pouts, but he can't say anything to me because his mouth is stuffed with food. Darcy huffs, stabbing the poor muffin again. I feel really bad for the poor thing; it's being abused continuously.
"Mamma, you don't understand me." Darcy whines. I've been through this stage and I understand her completely.
"I do, trust me." I assure her. "You're the one who's being unreasonable."
"Mamma, you can't just throw this whole situation at me, and say that I am being unreasonable." Darcy says, wringing her hands. I roll my eyes. This is so tough.
"What are we discussing?" Harry asks from behind me. I turn around to find him looking at us, smiling.
"Us." I say, getting up. "Come on, let's go and get ourselves some breakfast." I take Harry's hand in mine, and guide him toward the omelet station.
"What's really going on?" Harry says as we grab our plates.
"She's being...tough." I say.
"Nothing new." Harry says, smiling. "She's definitely gone on you." I punch Harry's shoulder playfully.
"Oh, please. Like you aren't stubborn and tough to deal with." Harry chuckles, shaking his head.
"Mus, you said it yourself, she'll come around." Harry says, calmly. I nod my head, even though I don't feel satisfied.
"I hope so," I murmur. Harry and I get fresh omelets, and then we head towards the bread section. I love buffet breakfasts. There's such a large variety to choose from. Harry and I fill our plates and head towards the table where the boys and Darcy are sitting. Darcy has finished most of her breakfast, and so have the boys. However, Niall's plate is still full.
"Niall, it's a miracle that you aren't overweight." I tell him as I take a seat. Niall doesn't say anything because his mouth is still stuffed. Harry laughs, and rolls his eyes.
"We've told him several times. But, he doesn't listen." Louis says, eyeing Niall's plate. In one swift movement, Louis snatches Niall's plate and makes a dash for it. Niall pouts, shocked at what just happened. Suddenly, Liam, Harry, Darcy and I burst out laughing. Niall looks so confused.
"I'll get another plate." Niall says, getting up. Damn, the guy can eat. Harry takes my hand in his underneath the table. Smiling, I take a bite of the omelet.
"Mus, can I ask you something?" Harry says, after a few minutes. I nod my head because my mouth is full. "What happened between you and Josh? Please answer me truthfully." I don't want to answer him. I wished that he'd never ask me this question.
"Things didn't work out. So, I broke up with him." I say in a dismissive tone, hoping that Harry gets the message that I don't want to have any further discussion regarding this topic. Harry squeezes my hand and raises an eyebrow.
"That's all?" Harry says. I know he already knows what happened between Josh and I so why is he pushing me for answers.
"That's it." I get up, deciding to get myself a glass of orange juice. Harry grabs my hand again, stopping me from moving ahead.
"Last night, you promised me something. Mus, you said you'd never hide anything from me." Harry says, tugging me so that I sit back down.
"When?" I ask him, smiling. Harry shakes his head, chuckling.
"Do you really want me to tell you when? In front of everyone?" My eyes widen and I shake my head vigorously.
"Can we discuss this later? Please." I say, getting up again. Sighing, Harry nods his head and leaves my hand.
