Harry's POV
I push on the handle of the door that leads to the emergency room. However, it doesn't budge.
"Harry, what's going on?!" Louis asks me, frantically.
"M-Mus, is in there. I know it!" I say, pounding at the door. Is everyone deaf in there? Suddenly, there's a buzz, and someone opens the door slightly. Without seeing as to who's on the other end of the door, I barge into the emergency room.
"Sir! You can't be in here. Please leave." A woman yells at me. I wave my hand, dismissing her protests.
"Did you people bring in a girl? Tall, pretty, murmuring something regarding her fault?" I ask the woman, and she looks at me as if I'm mad. "Tell me." I grit my teeth, slamming my hand against the table that's next to me. The woman jumps back, startled.
"Y-Yes, a girl was brought in. She cut her wrists with a piece of jagged rock." The woman says, nervously.
"Where is she?" The woman is so scared she's shaking. "I won't harm you. Chill." I hope my tone sounds soothing and calm because I feel anything but calm.
"She's in the first room on the left." The woman instructs me, calming down slightly.
"Thank you." I say, turning around and rushing toward the room where the woman has instructed me.
"Harry, why the hell are you rushing after a woman? Mus will be so pissed." Louis says from behind me. Why the heck is he so dense?
"That woman...in that room, is Mus." I say, taking deep breaths. I haven't run this much in a long time, and I'm out of shape.
"No! Mus would never try something as stupid as suicide. She's a strong woman," Louis argues. I shake my head, reaching the room.
"Mus, has grown weaker and she's getting more and more tired day by day." I say, taking a look through the door. Mus is lying on the stretcher, doctors all around her. For some reason, I don't want to enter the room. An oxygen mask is placed over her nose, and half of her mouth. What has she done? Has Mus harmed herself so much that she needs oxygen? Since when has Mus become so weak. She has always been a rock; strong, and independent. What changed? Josh. He has harmed Mus in many more ways than he can imagine, and he's going to pay. I'm going to make him pay. I don't even want to see that filthy man's face.
"Excuse me." The nurse squeaks as she tries to enter the room, without disturbing me. God, why is she so afraid? I'm not going to eat her up.
"Firstly, woman, you need to calm down. I'm not going to harm you." I say, giving her a small smile. "Secondly, could you please tell me what's going on in there? Is Mus okay? How badly has she harmed herself?" The nurse gulps.
"Sir, she slit open both her wrists. She's lost a lot of blood, and due to that, the oxygen level in her body is falling as well. Plus, she has another disease. I can't tell you what exactly, as the reports aren't here yet, but something else is definitely wrong with her." The nurse explains.
"Thank you." I nod my head. I take a seat on the floor, beside the door. Louis sits down beside me, wrapping his arms around his legs.
"Has Mus forgotten about all of us? Doesn't she know just how much pain she'll put us through if she dies?" Louis says, breaking the silence. I shake my head.
"She doesn't care. Lou, she's so tired and sick of all of the pain that I, that other people put her through, that she doesn't care anymore. This is the only selfish thing that she's done in years. I called her selfish when I met her, but I was wrong. Mus has always thought about others. Put their needs in front of her's and now it's her turn to do something for herself." I turn to see Louis' expression, and it's one of pure confusion.
"I have no idea what the heck you're saying, but it sounds deep." Louis says, placing his hand on my shoulder. I smile, shaking my head at his stupidity. He sounds drunk.
""It's okay. Thanks for listening." I say, shrugging my shoulders. I feel a new sense of hope, for some reason. I know Mus will be alright. And I know we will be together till death do us part.
"No problem. I'm here for you." Louis says, leaning his head against the wall. We're both tired, and sleepy. I feel as if my eyes can shut at any time.
"Louis, you should sleep." Louis nods his head, and shuts his eyes. I do the same, and before I know it, I'm pushed into a world of darkness, and peace.
******
"Sir!" Someone calls. "Sir!" I turn my body, hoping that will block out this annoying person's voice. Somebody places their hand on my shoulder and shakes me. I groan, shrugging my shoulder.
"Sir, please get up." The same voice says urgently. Annoyed at being disturbed, I open my eyes, and bright light floods them. I squint them, pushing myself up with the help of my elbows. I open my eyes, wider than last time. A nurse is standing in front of me, looking at me with a concerned expression.
"Sir, it's morning. Patients are being brought in and you and him," she says, looking at Louis, "Are coming in the way." I nod my head, shaking Louis' shoulder. Louis grunts and shakes his head.
"Get up Louis! We need to exit," I say. I get up, and pass my hand through my hair. I'm sure they're a mess. I pass my hands over my face.
"Excuse me?" I say, as the nurse is turning around. She turns back around and looks at me expectantly. "How is Mus?" I look inside the emergency room that Mus was in last night. However, she's not in there.
"She's fine. In fact, she's a lot better. We've shifted her into a private room. Please just sign a form and I'll guide you to her." The nurse says, walking towards the table that I slammed my hand on last night.
"Okay." I follow her, nudging Louis with my boot.
"I'm up." Louis murmurs, turning around and smacking his face on the floor.
