The Wall We Built

Chapter 4

I woke up back at Lilly's place with a throbbing pain right on my hair line.  I tried to sit up but right as I started to someone practically slammed me back down on the pillow they had placed under me.  I look up and sure enough it was Monica.  She was giving me a look that told me that I was dead and she was going to make it look like and accident.

"Ah be careful... That's not how your supposed to treat a someone that has been wounded!!" I snapped at her with the same look she was giving me.

"Where that heck did you go and why?!?!?" She said angrily.  "You could have been killed... Gabby woke up and saw that you had left and woke the rest of us.... As soon as everyone was up and ready to go look for you... Which didn't take long... That wolf was dragging you up the street until it herd us running toward you.  It dropped you and ran back toward the tree line." She explained with so much detail and so much blame toward the wolf who by the way saved my life.

"I was going to look for the wolf and as I was heading to the field these men had followed me and I tried to run and get away but I tripped and they got to me before I could get up... I'm sorry I left I didn't know this would upset you of all people as much as it does." I said in a quiet voice, staring deep into my beat up hands.

I looked up at everyone around me stood up and explained; "Don't you guys even think of blaming that wolf... If it hadn't been for him I wouldn't be here right now... One of the men slapped me when I snapped back a rude comment to something he said... And he jumped out of the tall grass and the man that had picked me up off the ground dropped me and I hit my head.  All I remember is the wolf walking back toward me."

What they didn't know was that I was lying I remember everything that happened... I remember waking up a few minutes later and surely enough that wolf was laying next to me and I stared into his eyes for the longest time while he stared right back at me.  I loved how clam I was right in the face of danger.  I loved being able to feel the heat that seeped out of the fur and skin of him.  Then I remember looking back up at the stars and blacking out and then I woke up here.

"Well guys lets leave this behind us Richard is supposed to be coming over later and I want you guys to get to know him... Also I promise not to be so wrapped up with him." Said Lilly in a tone that I could tell was that she wanted to forget what happened to me last night.

"Okay guys today is the last day of summer break... but not the last day of fun... But since we will only have weekends to have fun we need to make today count... We need to forget all of yesterdays drama and... Lydia are you listening to me or not?!?" Said Eva who was irritated that I wasn't listening to what she was saying of which I truly didn't care how this day went I just want to know if that wolf would come back. 

Evangaline... Aka Eva... She seems to be the glue of the group.  Like the mother if everyone.  It's like she would take a bullet for each and everyone if us if she had the chance.

"Okay so... What do you guys want to do today?" asked Abigail. Abigail hasn't really talked much the whole time.  Her and Chase have just kind of been on the side lines awkwardly hanging out and it gets kind of hard to watch sometimes.
