Sitting in the dark I could feel the moist air against my skin in... I had just slowly gained consciousness. Out of the blurry darkness I could see a tall figure moving toward me. Suddenly I jumped as a bright and blinding light quickly flashed on. When my eyes focused I could see a ring of people on the outside of the room.
There were multiple exits and entrances there was a set of two people for every door. "You awake over there puppet?" Shouted a voice from across the room.
"Don't call me puppet." I spit the word out so harsh it made me cringe in the back of my mind. Safire soon enough was in my face.
"Finally we've been waiting for hours for you to wake up." She stood up straight and walked a few steps away from me. "Alright lets begin... Get ready to go. Get the truck set make sure there is a was too hook her up so she doesn't try and escape we need her."
Soon enough I was left in the dark again... Slowly I drifted back to sleep because my head hurt and my ears were ringing uncontrollably.
................
I woke up to an unsettling splash of ice cold water... It felt like being thrown in an ocean in coldest depths of winter. For a few minutes as I struggled to keep my self awake I herd something that sounded like fighting. Suddenly I felt the ropes tied around my ankles being cut away from the chair... For a split second I struggled then I realized that it was angel and Oliver that were here to save me.
"Oli... Angel what are you guy doing here." I was still grougy and struggling to keep my self awake.
"Shhhh... Its alright I got you." He cradled me as if I was a baby it was comforting to know that I was in his arms again. Slowly I felt myself drift back to sleep in his arms.
...............
"Do you guys think she was hurt?"
"I don't know I wont be able to tell until she wakes up."
I herd voices all around me. Slowly I began to open my eyes. "Where are we?" I looked around and recognized the wooden walls and the dusty furniture that seems as if no one is ever around to clean it.
"We are in Oliver's cabin... The one you camped in last summer." A voice replied. It was one I didn't recognized... I turned around and noticed it was Derik.
"Where is everyone else?" I asked worried why he stayed behind to watch over me and not Oli. Before I said anything else Eve walked in the living room and gave me a glass of water.
"They are out tracking Safire and her pack of mutts." I gave them a reassured look mixed with a still confused look I felt stupid.
"Why didn't Oli stay instead of you... Don't they need you Derik?" He looked at me as if he believed I didn't trust him. Which I don't know if I do or not... I know almost nothing about him and I trust hardly anyone.
"He knows his was around these parts better than anyone and Max trusts me the most to be here to protect you just incase Safire had some of her wolves follow us." I slightly nodded my head and looked back at Eve.
We sat in the living room for about a half an hour and hardly talked at all... Just awkward silence. When Oli walked through the door I stood up so fast I almost fainted. I had realized that I hadn't eaten anything in the past few hours. He picked me up and sat on the couch and cradled me like a baby.
Angel brought me some soup and I practically sucked it all down like a vacuum. When I finished Eve took the bowl back into the kitchen and I lay my head on Oliver's shoulder and closed my eyes and thought about the peace and not worrying about anything. Suddenly I jumped when I herd a large thud outside... I was holding Oli not wanting to have to go and continue what had happened this morning.
"Looks like our companies here." Said Oliver in an frustrated voice. He's cute when he gets defensive and angry.
We walked outside and it was almost like twilight in the last movie during the fight with the Volturi. No one had to say anything Safire gave on of her mutts a look and he turned and lunged forward and without thinking I grabbed the bow and arrow and on of the specially made arrows and hit the wolf like it was nothing. I felt like Oliver Queen from my favorite TV show arrow.
Safire pushed her hands forward and every last on of her mutts lunged forward... I shot at least ten wolves before I ran out of special arrows. I took the bow and quietly walked around the pack of fighting wolves and venators. One of them lunged at me and I grabbed it buy the neck and pinned it to the ground. I took on of the knives that I had stashed in my pocket and shoved it into the heart of the wolf. I began to feel a burning anger as a snuck around the wolves.
I looked through the crowd looking for Angel hoping I didn't have to do what I had done this morning. That turned out completely how I didn't expect it to... I herd something shift behind me I turned and smacked another on of Safire's wolves in the face and threw a knife and hit him right between the eyes. He fell and vanished like the others.
Soon enough I ran to the middle of the crowd of people fighting... On the way I was throwing knives and knocking every wolf that wasn't one of ours to the ground. When I reached the center I found Oliver and asked him if he knew where Safire was so I could go after her. He didn't know... I kept searching the crowd. Quick enough the crowd of Safire's wolves had began to die down and as everything settle I stopped and looked back toward the edge of the trees and all I saw was angel held in the air at the hand of Safire.
Everything stopped... Everything was silent. She looked at me... Looked in my eyes and let out a slight whimper as Safire had shoved the knife into her chest.
"NOOOOOO!!!!" I began to cry as I ran as fast as I possibly could. Safire began to run toward the trees I took one of the knives from my pocket. I shot the knife... It seemed like it went in slow motion it hit her in the middle of the back. She fell to the ground and vanished.
With tears in my eyes I held her head up to speak to her. "Angel... Angel. Keep your eyes open. Just keep them open."
"Lydia we both know..." She paused and struggled to swallow. "we both know I'm not leaving this field alive." She began to fade slowly and the tears began to build up more and more. "I love you... You were my best friend and I never would have asked for anyone more special than you." She slowly closed her eyes and her body began to loosen.
I picked her up and held her to my chest. "Angle no... No no no no no no. Please don't leave me no no no you can't!!!" All the tears broke free and Oliver picked me up off the ground and held me tightly.
................
A few weeks after we were all dressed in black... Huddled under umbrellas around the coffin in tears.
