The Wall We Built

Chapter 22

I had fallen asleep on Oliver... I woke up and he was staring down at me.  My legs were pulled up near my chest,  my hands were curled together on his chest and my head was resting on his shoulder. "Good morning."  He spoke and I looked up at him... stretched and yawned and said.  "Good morning... Sorry I fell asleep on you... I must have drifted off and not woken up to move to Angle's hospital bed." 

He smiled "Its okay... Your so cute when your sleeping."  He smiled and let out a half laugh that was really cute.  "And if you were over there I couldn't have been able to wake up and wait for you to wake up... Plus you kept me really warm all night." 

I smiled at him then lay my head back down on his shoulder.  "What time is it?" 

"Um like six thirty... do you want to get ready for school and then go get something to eat?" 

I nodded my head and got up... I walked over to Angle and asked her if I could use her shower.  She nodded her head and I grabbed my cloths and got in the shower.

When I got out of the shower I braided my hair and brushed my teeth and brushed my hair.  I came out of the bathroom and Oliver was sitting in the chair ready to go.  "Ready?"  I nodded my head and waved bye to Ang and we headed out the door.

We got out to the car and Oliver asked, "Where do you want to go for breakfast?" 

"Um... I don't know... Where ever." Oliver thought for a second and said "I know exactly where we could go." I jumped into the truck and we drove off. 

The car ride was silent.  I wanted to know where we were going but he wouldn't tell me.  I was getting really irritated and then we pulled into Denny's and my anger and frustration was gone. 

"OMG... I love this place!!"

"I know... Angle told me."  I looked at him and then got out of the car. 

We walked in and the nice lady said "Good morning... Table for two?" 

Oliver replied. "Yes... Please." Then he looked at me as we took a seat and told me "Consider this our first date."  I started to say something then he said "The only surprise one... Maybe."  He smiled and then the lady walked over to us and told us to follow her.  She walked us over to a small table for two and gave us our menus.  The lady walked away and came back. "What shall I get you to drink?" 

Oliver looked at me and I said "Um... Just coffee for now please." 

"Same here." The lady nodded and replied "I'll be back with those in a minute."

Oliver was staring at me as I was looking through the menu trying to decide what I wanted. He let out a faint laugh.  I looked up at him "What?" I asked.
"Your so cute... You always look at thongs as if its the best thing in the world."

I looked at him for a second, smiled then looked back at my menu and he laughed.

"Breakfast was great... Thank you." We were walking out of Dennys.

Oliver looked over at me and then looked at his phone to see what time it was.  " Oh crap we are going to be late... Hurry get in!"

I ran over to the passenger side of the car and jumped in.  Oliver and I race off trying to not be late for school.
