The Wall We Built

Chapter 6

"Did you guys here that? What was that Lydia?" Asked Gabby in a worried tone knowing that I would know.

"Hazel eyes!  He's calling out a sad and lonely good bye." I replied with excitement yet sadness.  I got up and bolted to the door with my jacket and shoes on since no one bothered to take them off of me when they got me in the house.  As I ran down the road he stopped howling and looked me in the eyes... Turned toward the field and forest and vanished.  For a second I stopped in the middle of the road and just before Monica grabbed a hold of my jacket I started running after the wolf.  

"LYDIA... STOP THAT STUPID WOLF ISNT WORTH IT COME BACK!!!" Screamed Eva as I vanished in to the woods

I was running after a wolf how crazy.  I don't have clue why but I'm crying... I feel as though out here running from reality... Running to a creature that could have ripped me to shreds if it wanted to... But instead he just lay beside me and seemed to stare into my soul.  Running through the trees and brush I trip on something and found myself hair tangled and messy lying on the ground crying. 

As I lay here on the cold and moist ground, eyes closed I feel a warm breath near my face.  I roll to my back and expecting to see the hazel eyed wolf but there was a whole pack of wolves huddles around me and hazel eyes was no where to be found. 

I caught a glimpse of his fur. He stepped into the ring of wolves.  The whole time he was there... Which felt like a life time... He stared at me, Straight into my eyes.  Just like last night it is almost like he isn't even looking at me... It almost like he is looking deep into my soul. I am so exhausted... I hit my head again when I fell, but not as bad this time.  My head fell to the side and I blinked once and all but hazel eyes was gone... I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I slowly regain consciousness... I don't know where I am.  Am I at Lilly's house with every one or am I somewhere else.  If I am back at Lilly's house then where is everyone?  Did some random person see me in the woods and take me to ther....

"Are you okay Lydia?" I looked up and it was Chase.  I'm glad its at least him and not a stranger even though I don't know him very well.

"I'm fine... Where am I?  Where is everyone?" I replied not wanting to spend much time without everyone else around.

"Your at Lilly's house and everyone is a the store getting stuff for when you were to wake up.  I told everyone they could go and I would wait here for you to wake up. " Said Chase.  "I'll call them now and tell them your okay and that your finally awake."

"Okay." I replied.

"They said they are almost here and just to let you know I told Monica to not yell at you like she did earlier." 

"Okay... Thanks."

"No need."

"Lydia why did you go running after that wolf you could have gotten killed by that thing!"  Said Eva in a frustrated and worried tone. 

" I don't know... I guess I'm always up for an adventure."  I said that with such a tone that it seemed to completely irritate even Chase who at this point seems to be hard to agitate.
