Over and over and over!!! Getting pinned to the ground and getting back up to try again. For at least an hour I have been the only one on the field practicing.
Everyone on the side lines was staring at me... I felt like they were taking pictures of me. Like at football games... When you see the people with the fancy cameras down on the field.
"Lydia... Get up. Try again and try harder this time!" Oliver was getting frustrated with me... Which I completely didn't understand.
"Well maybe you should give me a break I've been working for the past hour." He rolled his eyes at me... I know I'm ready to fight but I'm tired.
"Lydia please give it one more try... This time you'll fight one of max's pack members." I looked down the line to find max... He nodded his head at Derik who liked Eve. She seemed to not show any interest but I can tell she will like him if he keeps trying to sweep her off her feet.
He walked to the middle of the field and when he got close I herd him say he would go easy on me. His definition of easy is ompletely different than mine... as I charged toward him he jumped over me like he was supposed to and in mid air he turned. When he turned to face me he lunged forward and took me down. I used all my force and kicked him off me and he went flying backwards. I did a cool jump to pick my self up off the ground... He came at me again and before he could take me down I used all my anger from having to do this the for almost an hour.
When he was only a few feet away I did a round house kick... Which Ashley taught me without even asking why I had asked her to teach me. They worked for fighting... He fell to the side and I quickly lunged over to him and acted as if I was going to stab him with the venator knife that Oliver gave me.
"Well done Lydia... anyone else want to take her on." He looked at me as if to be messing around. Good thing everyone was quiet because I think Oliver would have taken them seriously and make me fight again. "Max the field is all yours."
For at least the next hour Oliver and I sat on the sidelines talking while max taught Angel. Every once and a while we looked up to see her progress out on the field... About the third or fourth time we looked up every one had stopped and was looking at the far end of the field. Safire and her pack of wolves came about ten feet from us and everyone stood up at the ready waiting for one of her wolves to pounce forward.
Compulsively Oliver jumped in front of me its like he forgot I can defend myself. Being as small as I am I could hide behind them perfectly... They couldn't see me, none of them could. Suddenly I herd Safire yell at her mutts "Find her." Max and his pack stopped them in their tracks.
"Find who... your not taking anyone from this property." Max demanded... Safire signaled her wolves and they lunged forward.
Oliver whispered to me "Run there here for you." I stopped for a second to think.
"Wait Oli why do they want me?" He looked down toward his feet ashamed. "Your there sacrifice."
My heart stopped... Before my mind could register what to do next I felt something lunge me forward. "GO!!!! NOW!!!!!" Everything seemed to go silent... Like bomb had went off really close to us and my ears were ringing and I couldn't here.
I took off toward the trees without anyone seeing... when I got to a dense spot I turned around and watched from a distance. I don't know how long its been but they were still fighting. Suddenly this sickening feeling came over me and I searched for Oliver and when I saw him kicking the crap out of them I quickly searched for Angel. When I found her Safire was holding her in the in the air with her hand and I could tell Angel was struggling.
Suddenly a feeling burning and anger flashed over me. I rushed out of the brush and whistled as loud as I could. Apparently it worked because Safire dropped Angel to the ground and everyone stopped in there tracks and turned to look at me. "HEY... YOU MESS WITH MY FAMILY YOUR GONNA DEAL WITH ME!!!"
I could here Safire say "I got her... Kill her friends." She began to walk faster and faster toward me until she was at a run.
She came at me with all her force and knocked we to the ground... It was hard to breath with her full force on my chest. Soon enough she stood up and was hovering over me... She was speaking but I couldn't here what it was. After I caught my breath I kicked her in the face will all the strength with in my anger and rage.
"Oh... IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!?!?" She was yelling and I wasn't all that far away from her.
"ARE YOU GONNA FIGHT OR JUSTAND THERE AND INSULT ME?!?!?! GIVE ME YOUR BEST SHOT!!" She seemed to be laughing at me... Its like I was so angry with her and not paying attention to anything around me. Suddenly I saw a blur behind her... It was Oliver running toward us its like he was saying something but I couldn't here what it was.
Suddenly when he was close enough I herd him yell "LYDIA NOOOO... MOVE!!!!!" Then everything went black.
