Oliver's pov.

Dang I was just trying to help her... I want her to go and see her dad before he dies.  Well hopefully he wont the doctors don't know where he's gonna end up.  But the shooter only shot him in the stomach there has to be something else.

I jumped in my car and rushed to the hospital... When I got there I walked up to the front desk.  "Hello."  The lady said with a smile.  "Are you here for an appointment or to visit?"

"Um I'm here to visit Steve Summers."  She smiled at me and pointed down the hall to the left.

I rushed down the hall... Lydia was sitting in a chair next to him... She sighed and rolled her eyes.

"What are you doing here?" She snapped at me.  I care about her dad too.

"There is more to your dads coma than what we know."  She looked at me like I was crazy.

"What else could there possibly be that would cause my dad to go into a coma." She gave me the most I hate you look in the world.

"Cancer... He could have cancer.  If it exceeds to a certain point if danger and combined with a bullet he could go into a coma." She was still giving me the I hate you look.

"Yes you are correct Mr.?" The doctor cut into the conversation.

"Oliver..." I hesitated.

"Mr. Summers has a tumor in his brain... It is an easy procedure."
I looked at Lydia... She nodded at the doctor.

In her facial and body expressions I could tell that with this man in the room it was completely unbearable .  When the doctor left... After a few minutes I looked down both hallways looking for the man.

"Are you okay lydia?  You seemed really uneasy while that man was in the room." She looked at me with a less hateful expression.

"That's the man that shot my father." She got up and began to pace back and fourth around the room.  "I need to go home and keep tracking this guy down."

She walked out of the room quickly... I wish we hadn't broke up.  I wish we hadn't had that fight... So we could laugh and work on this together.   A few minutes after Lydia left I made my way home.

................

Lydia's pov.

I walked in the house thinking and not paying attention to my surroundings.  After I closed the door and turned around I felt a light breeze on my face.  I looked up and the man from the hospital was standing in the kitchen... Where he was standing when he shot my dad.

"What do you want?  You already put my dad in the hospital!!!"  I was so angry I wanted to take a baseball bat to his face.

He slightly smirked.  "I want you in the hospital too... Lets just hope I have better aim this time."  He raised what looked like a 9mm pistol.

Before he had a chance to take a shot I did a tuck and roll and ended up against the wall of the island.  Now that I am some what safe... What do I do?

Suddenly I remembered I dropped a butter knife on the floor... I looked to my left.  It was still there from this morning.  I quietly crawled over to where it was.  I grabbed it and stood up with the butter knife to where he could see it.

"Ha whats that going to do?"  He was mocking me which made me even more angry.

"Sometimes an umbrella can be stronger than a sward."  Oddly I got that from a toddler TV show.  I chucked the knife and hit him in the stomach.

He dropped his gun and fell to the floor winded.  I grabbed the duck tape from my garage and tapped his hands together.  Since I don't want Oliver to think I'm not still mad at him and I don't want to be lectured by mister wolf and almighty I called the police.

With in the time that the police were at my house and they took the man I went back to the hospital to hope my dad woke up.  When I got there I went straight to his room and he wasn't there.  I about had a panic attack... One of the nurses must have herd me freaking out.  One rushed in... "Are you okay?"  She asked.

"Where is Steve summers?"  The nurse sat me down on the bed... In that moment I didn't know what to expect.

"Honey I'm sorry but your father... He started seizing and then flat lined.  We couldn't bring him back."  I was speechless... At that moment my world stopped.
