"I just got off the phone with our dad Lydia... He wants us home in an hour so we can get our school things together." Said Monica in an irritated tone.

"Did you tell him about all that happened this weekend?" That's all I said I didn't care when we were going home I just didn't want him to know that I went running after a creature that could kill me in an instant.

"No I didn't tell dad I told him you were riding Lilly's bike, hit a rock, and crashed but we don't need to worry about it because you are okay." Replied Monica knowing I don't want to be yelled at.

"Okay... What do you guys want to do?" I asked trying to pass the time so that I didn't have to spend much time here anymore.  I wanted to go home so that I can draw the beautiful creature and his eyes.

...................

"Monica, dads here... Bye you guys see you tomorrow... Love you guys."  At this point I didn't want to leave.  I wanted to stay and have more fun.

I got home and dropped my bags in the middle of my room, flopped on my bed and stared at the ceiling.  I didn't have any motivation at the moment to get up and get ready for school the next day.  I don't want to start a new year... I know something bad is bound to happen.

"Hey Lydia will you please put away your stuff and get ready for school please." My dad poked his head in my room and scared the living crap out of me.

"Yeah dad I will don't worry."

"I just don't want you to rush around at 9:00 at night trying to get stuff together."

"I know."

He shuts the door and I instantly jump up and put all my papers and binders in my newly bought backpack which I don't need but my step monster oops I mean mother thinks I need I new one because I will just complain because I didn't get a different one.  I finish putting everything together and I grab my sketch book and pencil and sketched hazel eyes and built a wall between me and reality.
