For a second we stood there in silence staring into each others eyes. I didn't know what to say or want to say anything for that matter. I turned and made my way to the front door forgetting that he had driven me and I didn't have a car... or at least one that worked. "Wait Lydia where are you going?" Connor chased after me and grabbing my arm and turning me around.
"Home... I want to go home." I said rolling my eyes.
"Okay... well don't walk its far from here and dangerous."
"Well your the one with the car." I was being so mean and I'm just so irritated that he kissed me. I mean yeah it was a kiss but... My dad would kill him... Then me. I walked toward his car and he followed right behind me. We got in and there was a dead silence half way back to my house.
"I'm sorry... I don't know why I was just so... angry." I tried to break the silence.
"Don't be sorry... Its my fault I shouldn't have messed with you like that... Even though it was funny." He giggled... and I smiled. He wasn't paying attention so he didn't see me smile which was a good thing... I don't want him thinking he got away with it that easy.
I was still smiling and he looked at me and said: "Wow and she smiles... She is capable of smiling... Who knew?" I flipped him off.
We pulled into my driveway and my dad was of course out on the porch holding the 12 gage shotgun. I stepped out of the car and I ducked down and looked at Connor and asked: "Do you want to meet my dad?" He looked at me like I was crazy. "Oh he isn't that scary."
"Yeah sure... I just hope he doesn't have any silver in those buck shots." We both laughed and he got out of the car and walked toward my dad. "Hello sir I'm Connor... Nice to meet you." Connor stuck out his hand so my dad could shake it.
My dad shook his hand and said... "Nice to meet you too... Thank you for getting my daughter home safely." Connor nodded his head and replied "I wouldn't want anything to happen to her either... And thank you for letting her come to work on the English project with me."
When they got done with their million year long conversation we went inside and I wen straight to my room and fell on my bed which I do almost every time I come home from somewhere and fell asleep.
