Chapter 22
First Night Home
Harry and Alicia were turning out to be pretty good at parenting. They worked together to do almost everything, but yet were still very unprepared for their first night home with Astrid.
Harry was sitting on the couch, holding Astrid out so he could look down at her clearly. His large hand supporting her fragile head. She was just looking up at Harry, smiling occasionally. "Astrid, baby, are you happy to be home? Daddy's glad your home." He spoke softly, and dipped his head to rub his nose to her cheek. Earning him a tiny little smile.
Alicia stepped back into the living room with a bottle in hand. She strode over, and gently took a seat beside Harry. Pecking his creamy skin gently. "Harry, you're such a great Dad." She told him softly, before placing the bottle down on the table. This elicited a chuckle from Harry, and he used his free hand to cup Alicia's jaw. Pulling her gently in for a proper kiss. Which she delightedly gave him.
Astrid started to just scream and wail again, that is, until Harry let his fingertip caress her cheek gently. She continued to just swing her arms around blindly though. "You change her." Harry said with a slightly grossed out face. "No, come on. You gotta help me!" Alicia whined, and gave Harry the pouty look.
Harry gave in and got to his feet. Both of them trekking into the nursery, and set Azie down gently on the dark wood changing table. The little soft cushion was gray and soft with little pushed up dots, it was so cute. Alicia pulled off Astrid's leggings and unbutton the bottom of her bodysuit. "Hey, wait maybe we should go ahead and give her a bath." Alicia suggested. Harry nodded in agreement, and took her whole little outfit off. Harry hesitantly undid the dirty diaper, and looked wide eyed at Alicia. She in turn just picked up Astrid's legs. "Toss it in the bin, and wipe her off retard." Alicia giggled playfully. "Do you not smell that? Its gross." Harry said with a smile, as he did as he was told. Once he tossed the wipes into the bin he looked up Alicia, begging for further instruction. She shook out her blonde mess of hair. "Okay lets just kinda sponge her off. You just bring me a little container full of water, and soap." She requested, and start to gently play with her teensy little toes.
Harry ran and got what she said, dipping the sponge in the water and putting a sparing amount of soap on it. He took charge for once and just cleaned the baby. Then he rinsed her off with the sponge. "TADA!" He claimed happily, feeling as if he had done something spectacular.
Alicia giggled, and they picked out a whole new outfit for Astrid. Then they put the nearly asleep baby in her bassinet in their bedroom. Harry took a seat on the bed with his arms opened. Waiting on his girlfriend to come take a seat on his lap. She slowly and gently took seat, and nuzzled her nose into his cheek. "I love you so much." She told him passionately. Harry grabbed her chin between his two fingers, and brought her lips up to his. Kissing her tenderly, trying to just revel in the moment.

The next morning, Harry had barely slipped away from Alicia. Luckily, she had her own errands to run. Harry had decided to take the baby with him, and he was determined to go by that engagement ring today. He had Astrid in one of those things on his chest. Following his own style she had a miniature beanie on her head. Along with a girly pink outfit on, and infants converse. He placed a hand on her back gently as he tried to walk as smoothly as possible. "Azie, we're going to get a ring today he cooed. He didn't feel a bit odd even with the tiffany blue baby bag on his shoulder.
Entering Tiffany & Co. felt so intimidating, after all their were so many rings. An assistant rushed over to him quickly, bombarding him with questions. Here name tag read Honor, and he responded perkily to her.
"Oh sir, your baby is so beautiful! What's her name?" Honor asked nosily, trying to peer around Harry's heavy coat and get a glimpse of the baby. "Astrid, or Azie just whichever." Harry replied with a proud smile. "That's so unique. What are you looking for? An engagement ring, I'm assuming?" She asked leading them over to certain case. "Yes, yes. I want a cushion cut though, and if you have it, I was shooting for 2.5 carats." He told her, knowing that weight was really going to cost him, but it wouldn't even put a dent in his fortune.
"That must be special lady." Honor concluded, and skimmed over the rings in the case. She picked up a beautiful Tiffany Legacy and held it out to him. "This patented cushion cut diamond surrounded by bead-set diamonds, evokes the beauty and glamour of the Edwardian period." She said, as if she read it off a script. Harry took it in his hand, and admired the beautiful ring. It was simple and so beautiful, just like his love. He decided that this ring would be perfect. "How much?" He questioned, even though it really didn't matter. "36,605 pounds. What size does she need, Mr. Styles?" Honor said, with a bright smile. "She wears a five. I'll take it." Harry said, handing Honor back the ring and then starting to pull out his wallet.
------------
When Astrid and Harry finally emerged from the store He left with a small signature box containing a black velvet box that encased the ring. "Azie, you think Mummy will say yes?" He asked his daughter, and planted a kiss on her warm forehead. "Yes she will. Yes she will." He coed to the baby, and decided to go hit up Starbucks next.
{A/N Ugh this was really just a filler chapter, more drama is shortly to come! I promise.}
