Chapter 24
Doubts
Months on months had passed. Azie was beautiful nine month old baby now, and the wedding date was always growing nearer. A date set for sometime in the summer, and it was September now. The leaves had begun to change, and for the most part life had settled down. Steven and Valerie were now surprisingly a 'thing'. No one saw that one coming. Astrid had learned a few words she liked to call out every once in a while. She could form some pretty impressive sentences every so often, though. Alicia was beautiful as ever, in not only Harry's eyes, but everyone else's as well. Her blonde hair had grown out more and was now near her mid arms. Still messy and sexy as always. As for Harry, he looked like... well, Harry.
One chilly day a shrill ring sounded through out the apartment and Alicia rushed to answer it. "Hello, Alicia speaking." She answered formally since she hadn't waited for caller id. Harry strode elegantly into the room with the blonde curly haired baby on his hip. Her green eyes that mimicked Harry's along with her dimples were enough to light up any room. "Who is that?" He mouthed.
Alicia chewed on her lip as a police detective responded with his name and a request for her boyfriend. She handed Harry the phone, and he nuzzled it in between his shoulder an ear. "Mr. Styles, how may I assist you officer?" He rasped out cordially. "Mr. Styles we need you to come down to the station for an interview. You are a key suspect in the murder case of Drew Huntington." The gruff man replied firmly. "Should I bring my lawyer?" Harry questioned, causing Alicia's doe eyes to fly open even wider. "No sir." He answered in turn and hung up.
Harry let Alicia take the phone back from him and place it back on the hook. "Go, go get dressed we have to go down to the police station." He instructed with a gentle look. Alicia turned on her heel and tutted off to the bedroom. Pulling on a pair of jeans and a navy blue peplum top, scrambling to grab her black Tori Burch flats. When she came back Harry had pulled Astrid into a whole Little Marc Jacobs outfit, a matching pink miniature beanie. They left the house in the rush, Alicia barely remembering Azie's bag.

One they finally got to the station Azie finally spoke up. "Daddy, where go?" She asked softly. "No where. I'm not going anywhere." He confirmed as he collected her from the safety seat. Holding her protectively to his broad chest. No one was going to separate him from his beloved daughter. She and Alicia were the only things that made his life worth living.
Harry wasn't allowed to take his small family into the interrogation room, most would feel intimidated, but Harry saw himself as innocent. He had absolutely nothing to fear or be nervous of. This gave off to the officer that Harry was just simply cocky though.... not a good impression to make.
"Sir, where were you the night of the March 4th?" Officer Valencia asked looking Harry directly in the eyes. "Well sir, I am always looking to expand my companies so I was looking at properties a little out of town so I could put up a new headquarters." Harry answered smugly, to him it seemed like an adequate alibi. But could it be disproven?
"Oh very well. Any one happen to accompany you on this trip?" He pressed. "No I tend to keep my personal affairs just that, personal." Harry responded in a holier-than-though manner. His body language radiating the security he felt in his own answers.
After multiple pointless questions they released Harry, only to leave him to find that Alicia and Astrid had been sitting in the car for a while now. When he entered the Range Rover the animosity and jaundice was almost tangible. Alicia's arms crossed tightly over her chest, and she flinched away when Harry laid a hand on her shoulder. "You did it didn't you? You killed Drew! You're sick!" She accused him immediately.
"What? You believe them! Of course I didn't! I would never hurt you like that, babygirl." Harry purred leaning closer to her so she could see what she presumed was honesty in his eyes. She saw their baby in them, and their future and past in them. Belief in him, was all she felt. Pushing all doubts behind her. "I believe you. But if you did it I couldn't be with you anymore." She whimpered, as his large hands cupped her pale cheeks. "Then its a good thing I'm innocent, because I'd be nothing without you." He replied as he pressed his lips to hers' passionately.

Harry spent his whole rest of the week fully aware that the police were scanning over every piece of evidence they had ever collected. He sat by the phone everyday long awaiting the call until it finally came. He was called down once again. He did the same as last time gathering his soon to be wife and child, fearing imprisonment. Once at the the police station he was utterly shocked by the file he was handed to read. It said classified in bold red letters, and heavy stacks of paper inside. Alicia and Astrid sat by his side as he dove into it. Long fingers fumbling with every page as something so indescribably unexpected was revealed to him. "Oh my god." Harry sputtered, as he stood up abruptly. Sending the whole file scattered out on the cool tile floor. Leaving his baby startled and his fiancée scared as hell.
"Show me. I want proof, I want to see this little shit." Harry yelled out enraged, nearly sprinting to the officers office. "God dammit, show me him now!" He boomed out louder than ever before.
