Chapter 13.

Delnaz's POV

The final day of school arrived. I was happy and excited because the following Monday was the trip to Konya Summer Camp.

Students from all grades raced up and down the corridors, organising their school bags before the bell for the final assembly of the term sounded.

I walked towards my classroom casually. My bags were packed and ready. I had all my holiday homework and assignments crammed into my backpack that would be sitting in my cupboard at home and collecting dust till I got back from Konya.

Yıldız sat next to me. She had the tendency to talk a whole lot and usually got spoken to by our class prefect, Evren.

Evren was a short girl with a pretty face. She had piercingly blue eyes and a small, button nose. Her hair was golden-brown and she controlled our class, besides for one or two people, including Yıldız, who never, ever listened to her.

"Yıldız, you can't dye your hair."

"Why not? Will it kill someone, Evren?"

"It's against the school's code of conduct. You know that."

Yıldız rolled her eyes. "But-"

"No buts. You can go wild in the holidays. Now is not the time."

"But the holidays begins from tomorrow."

The two continued bickering until the bell for assembly rang.

Their argument is so pointless and I already have a headache.

Assembly was extremely boring. It only got exciting when Mr. Ahmed, our principal, wished us luck for the Konya Summer Camp and most of the school cheered.

I didn't see Fuad in the crowd. I wonder if he got to submit his form on time. The summer camp would be boring if he didn't get to come with us. Yıldız would be with Cihan, Zulfiyya would probably come with Zülfü somehow and I would be all alone. The thought bugged me.

I walked down the wide pathway that lead to the Antalya High School's main entrance, which was now being used as a main exit point. The place was crowded. If you stood still in the midst of the crowd, you'd probably get dragged with them as every student rushed towards the gates anyway. Yıldız and I tried to talk over the noise that the other students made.

"Delnaz?"

"Yeah?"

"Whose house are we staying at? My mom just texted me. She's like: Yıldız, where are you going to be staying??"

"Mine. Zuzu is coming over later this evening. Tell your mom that you'll be with me."

"Ok." By the time Yıldız was done texting her mother, we were out of the school gates.

Fuad's POV

Finally, school had ended and I was one of the first people out the gate. I was already home and not in the mood to speak to Aunt Nigar. She always had so much to say in one phone call and I had a really bad headache. I paced up and down, into the kitchen, then out of the kitchen and into the living room. I checked my texts. Nothing. I began to dial my one and only relative. I could feel my blood pressure rising.
