Chapter 7.
Fuad's POV
AzTech Corporation was a smart, clean, air-conditioned office that could give you jittery nerves if you sat in its lobby, waiting to meet with your potential, future boss.
Zulfiyya Rezazadeh, AzTech's secretary, smiled and greeted me when I walked up to the front desk. She was the same age as me. Apparently her parents were rich so she got the job. She was Azeri and a very chilled out secretary.
"Good morning. Zulfiyya?"
"Good morning. Yeah, that's me. You're scheduled for 11:30 so take a seat. I'll call you in when Mr. Abacı is ready."
"Thank you." I sat in silence and waited. I took in my surroundings and when the lobby turned into a muddle of grey, blue and black colours, I began to nod off.
Delnaz's POV
I got off train and flagged down a taxi. Two passed me before a middle-aged man stopped for me.
"Mornin' lady. Where to?"
"AzTech Corporation, Antalya Street."
"Right away Miss." The taxi driver pulled over in front of AzTech's largest building in Turkey. I paid him and walked in briskly. It was cold outside although summer was nearing. I saw Zulfiyya at her usual spot. She said her job was only exciting on weekdays when people actually came in. She did text me to say that there was a cute guy in the waiting area that I needed to see though. I immediately thought of Fuad for some reason.
I walked straight to her desk, for fear of making eye contact with anyone I didn't know.
"Sweety! Hi!" Zulfiyya's voice went up by 37391074491974730 notches.
"Huh?!" I turned around in surprise. I widened my eyes at the "cute guy in the lobby."
"Fuad?" He began to awake from his slumber. He was so cute when he slept...Focus Delnaz, focus.
"Wait...you two know each other?" Zulfiyya glared at me.
"Yes. Do you two know each other? Personally, I mean."
"No. We've just spoken about-"
"About my interview. I need a job." Fuad said to me.
"Oh..." I looked at Zulfiyya. She seemed sad and possibly droopy.
Fuad was preoccupied with with his phone suddenly so I turned back to Zulfiyya and whispered to her, "Babe, why are you so sad?"
"I don't know...I guess I have bad luck with guys."
"What do you mean?"
"I just realised that this Fuad is the same Fuad you told me about last night while we were texting."
"Oh...sorry Zulfiyya..."
"It's okay. I'm just glad that he's cute enough for you." My best friend cheered up and went back to typing away. "We need to go out some time. My life is so boring."
"Mine too."
"So did your father say you could go to summer camp?"
Fuad's POV
I raised my eyes slowly and looked in Delnaz's and Zulfiyya's direction. They were talking about summer camp. Antalya High School had a program for summer camp...
"I guess I'll have to ask him again..." Delnaz's voice brought me out of my thoughts. She and Zulfiyya continued their conversation for a few more minutes, until a call came through.
