Chapter 30.

Fuad's POV

I stumbled into my room at 3am, drowsy and tired. Yesterday after practise, the boys and I went to a football club to watch the latest match. We were supposed to to go Rizvan's place but his father had invited his collegues for dinner. We settled for a small sports bar near Rizvan's house instead.

As I fell onto my bed I remembered a figure walking up to me in the sports bar. It was Göksu, the same girl that talked to me just before practise. My limbs felt heavy and I felt sick to my stomach. She had threatened me with photos of me and Delnaz together during the Konya Summer Camp. When Delnaz was crying and in my arms, Göksu, or one of her little spies snapped a few pictures of us. Now, just before I could meet the parents of the girl of my dreams, I was being held back.

"Hey."

I looked up to see the smiling face of a girl that I had never seen before. "Hi?" I continued to fill my water bottle, feeling immediate discomfort upon the blonde girl's sudden appearance.

"You must be Fuad Altan," she batted her eyelashes at me.

"That's me, yes."

The girl eyed my football kit and chuckled. "So cute."

I laughed. Who the hell was she and what was she talking to me for?

"Excuse me?"

"I said, you're cute."

I stood up straight and watched the stranger twist her hair around her index finger. I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the fact that she called me cute.

"Friends?"

"Um sure?"

What the hell?

She took me by surprise when she wrapped her arms around me in a tight embrace, then walked off. Ignoring how utterly confused I felt, I jogged back onto the sports field to start a round of my favourite sport.

I replayed the scene in my head over again, trying to make sense of it. What did Göksu want with me? Girls like her only hung around popular boys. At the moment, Hassan was captain of the football team so if there was any popular guy to go after, it was him.

Basically, she had absolutely no need to threaten my relationship with Delnaz. I struggled to stay awake but eventually gave into my sleep. There was no point in phoning Delnaz anyway. She would have just been asleep by then.

Delnaz's POV

I had no idea of what the time was when my phone beeped. It was charging in the far side of the room. With the hopes of it being Fuad, I rushed to the charging slot and pulled the charging cable out my phone. It wasn't Fuad and I was highly disappointed but continued to open the message nevertheless.

Unknown:
Hey you might want to look at these, pretty girl. ;)

I saw the caption before I saw the five photos of Fuad and I at Konya Summer Camp. The one that caused me to cringe was Fuad with his arms around my waist and his head on my shoulder. Don't get me wrong, it was very cute but very inappropriate at the same time. What if my parents saw this?

"What the hell?" I breathed. I must have spoken a bit too loudly because I heard Yıldız sitting up in bed.

"Delnaz? Are you alright?"

I turned to face my best friend. The bright backlight of my phone slightly illuminating the room caused me to see Yıldız rubbing her eyes.

"Yes... I... Uh..."
