Chapter 12.
Fuad's POV
It felt like the hottest day of the year. Sweat dripped down the sides of my face. Football drills were torture but worth it. Coach Ilhan wouldn't give my friends and I a break though.
"Fuad, you can do better than that. Faster."
Seriously Coach.
I picked up my pace anyhow. My lungs felt as if they were going to burst and my legs were giving up underneath me.
When I get home, I'm going to sleep for a million years.

"Mother, I'm home!" I walked into the house, rubbed my feet on the mat and dumped my bags at the doorway. I was about to make my way to my room when someone knocked on the door. I looked through the peep-hole.
"Cihan?"
"Hey, Fuad. I think we swapped sports bags."
I looked at "my" sports bag and realised that Cihan was right. His sports bag had "Yıldız♡" written in permanent marker close to one of the zips. I handed Cihan his bag, thanked him for giving me my bag and asked him to stay for dinner. Cihan politely refused and said that he had to get home quickly. He needed to freshen up for a date.
"A date? On a Monday, Cihan? Really bro?" I shook my head and laughed.
"Hey, Yıldız said she missed me and that I owed her one. We hadn't seen each other in ages."
"You saw each other at school on Friday. That was a few days ago."
Cihan looked at his feet. "I just miss her, okay? Besides, I'm sure you'd feel the same way about Delnaz."
I told Cihan about seeing Delnaz and Yıldız at work on Saturday.
"Lucky you. Did you make any moves on your pretty lady?" Cihan winked at me.
"Dude, not everybody flirts like you."
"But they damn well should," he said, laughing. "Well I have to go now. See you tomorrow."
I said goodbye and watched Cihan jog down the street to get a taxi. I was hungry. Dying-of-hunger-hungry.
"Mother?" I called for the last time. I peered into the kitchen. The stove was off but there were pots covered with dish cloths on them.
So she cooked this time.
I searched for my mother and found that she was showering. I went to my room and freshened up. I then had dinner and began to work on my homework. I had enough of it to drive anyone crazy.
The sun had set. Monday was over.
Delnaz's POV
*Tuesday evening*
My mother answered the door and let me in. She told me that Aunt Hamida, Hamid and Uncle Reşit went to pick Yasmine up from the airport.
"I can't wait to see Yasmine!" I was literally bouncing off the walls when my mother told me to hurry and shower. She prepared a ton of food for everyone and we'd all eat together when Yasmine and company got home.
