Chapter 23.

I exited the men's change room and walked towards the table that I had been sitting at earlier. To my dismay, a bunch of ladies' bags were left there, unsupervised. For some odd reason, these bags looked familiar, especially the large black one.

A tall security guard walked up to me. He seemed annoyed by me being so close to the table. "Sorry, time to find another table."

I nodded and walked off to a spot closer to the slides. Then I heard it again. Those familiar laughs. I set my stuff down on the wooden table top and looked around to find the owners of these laughs. I saw nobody, the I heard squealing and tilted my head to look up at a slide.

What. The. Hell.

There they were; Delnaz, Zulfiyya and Yıldız were daring each other to go down the slide first.

The laughs, the bags... It all fell together.

Delnaz took my breath away. She wore a white swimsuit and her hair was open and flew in the wind. She looked...

Breathtakingly stunning.

All I could do was watch as her eyes landed on me and her expression changed. She left the slide, confusing Yıldız and Zulfiyya. Once they noticed me, they shot me dirty looks and left the slide too. I turned around to leave but was stopped by a hand on my shoulder.

"We need to talk."

I nodded and followed Delnaz to a quiet seating area. She had wrapped a towel around herself and sighed as she sat down. "Fuad," she began, "Why are you always following me around?" My hurt eyes must have given me away because Delnaz placed a hand on my arm and looked at me with worried eyes. "I didn't mean it in that way. What I mean is, all I wanted was a break; some girl time. I haven't spent nearly as much time with my friends as I have with you. You understand, don't you?"

"Yeah."

Delnaz's POV

He pursed his lips and broke our eye contact. I moved my hand away from his arm and looked up at the sky. At that moment, I really wished I was a bird. I could be far away from this awkward, hurtful situation.

"Delnaz, I'm sorry. I really am. I didn't mean to ruin your day. However, I've been here since 4pm. You can ask Cem, the guy in the store over there."

I believed Fuad, I really did. By asking Cem for a confirmation of Fuad's words, I would probably end our relationship. Without trust, there is nothing.

"No, Fuad. It's alright. We can spend some time together I guess." It was going to be so awkward for Fuad with 3 girls, him being the only boy.

"Oh wow... He finally got nailed..." I heard snickering some distance behind me so I turned only to find the entire group from Orhan to Rizvan, staring Fuad and I down. Wonderful. They burst out laughing when I turned around and I couldn't help but smile at how idiotic they were. I gave Fuad a look and left to join Zulfiyya and Yıldız, who were waiting for me at another table.

"Sorry guys, I just needed a word with him."

"Are you alright? Is everything sorted?" My best friends stared at me. They probably thought Fuad and I would break up.

"I'm alright. Fuad and I are alright. By the way, Zu, Zülfü is over there with the boys. I saw him looking around for you." I winked at Zulfiyya and Yıldız and I giggled like little girls. We saw Zuzu blush and tickled her till she left us to see Zülfü. Those two barely saw each other. Zulfiyya's schooling and both their jobs took up a lot of their time.

Fuad pulled his shirt over his head and grinned at me. We had an amazing time on the slides and decided to spend some time together afterwards. We were going to go to the park near il Vicino Pizzeria.

Pinks and blues marked the beginning of the evening and slowly but surely, the sun faded to nothing but a glow. We got off the taxi and entered the park gates. It was half-past 5. I needed to be home before 6pm so I had barely enough time to spend with Fuad. The wet grass crunched beneath my feet. "Fuad, I'm tired of waiting. I thought things were moving too fast. I felt anxious but now, I just want you to meet my parents."

"Well, you're going to have to tell them about me first. I don't want to just arrive at your house and make your parents angry. I need their permission first." He had a good point. I warned him that my family was huge and he shouldn't feel intimidated. I knew that Aunt Hamida would probably nail him so I told him to just ignore her if she said anything rude.

We spent about fifteen minutes in the park and arrived at the train station just in time for me to go home. I thanked Fuad for the awesome day. We said our goodbyes and parted ways.

Now came the hard part; telling my parents about my boyfriend.
