Bruce Banner x Reader Part 2

   Y/N'S POV

  After I got dressed, I looked through the mirror and noticed Bruce sitting on the bed.

  He sighed and played with his glasses, as I leaned on the door frame asking him,"B, what's going on?"

  Bruce looked at me for a minute, before he looked back at his glasses. I grabbed my heels and sat down next to Bruce.

  I leaned on his arm and asked him,"Will you help me, Brucie?"

  Bruce chuckled, but he nodded and reached for my heels. I smiled and handed them to him, before Bruce slowly put them on my feet. His eyes met mine for a second, only for my lips to meet his. Bruce blushed, but he kissed back. I ran my fingers through his hair and savored this moment, before Bruce let go. I pouted and sighed looking to the side.

  Bruce made me look at him, before he sighed saying,"I'm sorry, honey, I...I just don't wanna hurt you. C'mon."

  Bruce held out his hand, and I put mine in his. He gave mine a comforting squeeze, before he walked us to his car. Bruce held open the door for me, and I smiled, kissing his jaw in thank you. Bruce smiled and jogged over to his side, before he drove us to the restaurant.

  On the way there, I studied Bruce's movements. He was really tense and gripped the wheel tightly.

  I gently put my hand over his and said,"Banner?"

  Bruce hmmed in response, and I ran my thumb across his chin saying,"What's going on? Do you need to tell me something?"

  Bruce shook his head and said,"No, I...I'm just nervous about driving, that's all. I haven't been out in a long time."

  I nodded and rubbed his arm slowly. Bruce seemed to relax, which made me smile. I stopped rubbing his arm and realized we were here. Bruce helped me out and led me inside.
  The waitress escorted us to the reserved table, before I saw the Avengers sitting there. The boys immediately attacked me in a group hug.

  I giggled and hugged back saying,"Aww, I missed you guys, too. SAM!!"

  Sam chuckled and held out his arms. I smiled and ran to him, hugging him tightly.

  Sam kissed my forehead and said,"I missed you, too, sis. Hey, Banner, everything going okay?"

  Bruce nodded and smiled at Sam, before Sam smiled back. Sam shook his hand and sent me a look, and I groaned turning his face to the side.

  Sam chuckled and said,"I just wanted to make sure he's treating you okay. I can't be worried about my baby sister?"

  I couldn't help but smile and hugged Sam. Sam hugged back, and Bruce led me to my seat, before I gladly sat down. Steve nudged me gently, and I facepalmed for not greeting him.

  Steve waved it off and said,"It's fine, ma'am. I did hug you, so it's all right."

  I shook my head and apologized, before Steve just smiled and kissed my cheek. Tony informed the team of the assignment Fury had given them, while I just played with Bruce's hands. Bruce looked down at me, and I noticed something in his eyes.

  Bruce pecked my lips and put his forehead on mine, while I worriedly said,"Bruce, please tell me what's bothering you."

  Bruce sighed and looked down at our hands saying,"If I told you, then you wouldn't love me anymore. If you'll excuse me..."

  Bruce got up from the table and I went to go after him, but Natasha pulled me back. I sat back down and sighed. Sam took my left side, while Natasha was on my right side. I leaned on Sam's arm and did everything I could to stop myself from going after Bruce.

  Sam rubbed my back and poked my face with a piece of cake saying,"Please eat something, sis. For me?"

  I sighed and took some saying,"All right, all right. Better be happy I love you."

  Sam chuckled saying,"Right back at you, sis."

  I smiled and excused myself, before I went looking for Bruce. He should've been back by now. I spotted him drinking some water, and I let out a sigh of relief. Strong arms pulled me back, and I was pushed up against the wall.

  I squirmed and yelled,"HEY, GET OFF ME?!!"

  The idiot had the nerve to touch me, and I slapped him. He groaned in pain and went to hit me, but he was pushed up against the wall to the right of me. I wiped my face and saw Sam holding him tightly. I sent him a grateful look, before I ran to Bruce and buried my face in his neck.

  Bruce held my hands saying,"Shhh, everything is gonna be okay. You're safe, there's nothing to worry about. Let's go sit down, yeah?"

  I simply nodded, before Sam and Bruce led me back to the table. Sam put me in Bruce's lap, which made me blush madly. Bruce did, too, and I softly kissed his jaw.

  Bruce leaned into my touch and warmly said to me,"You're okay. Just take deep breaths."
