Rhodes x Reader

   Y/N'S POV

  Right now, I was sitting in Tony's office that the Senator had given him.

  I leaned back in his chair, and Tony just laughed at me saying,"That excited to see Rhodes, aren't we? Please do not get hurt, Y/N, I cannot be responsible for you, too."

  I smiled and just asked Tony,"Do you have any paper? I want to draw."

  Tony nodded and slid one of the notepads in my hands. I high fived him on his accuracy, before I started drawing cartoon characters.
  First, I drew Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo himself. Tony laughed and watched me, while he leaned on my chair.

  I felt hands cover my eyes, and someone said,"Guess who it is?"

  I pushed his hands away and squealed yelling,"RHODE!!"

  Rhodes chuckled, before I attacked him in kisses.

  Rhodes kissed back and brought me closer, and Tony groaned saying,"Could you guys not do that? Please.."

  I "accidentally" threw the available stapler at Tony, and he better thank God for those reflexes. Tony quickly got up, while I giggled at his facial expressions.

  Rhodes chuckled and kissed my cheek saying,"Nice one, baby. We should totally annoy Tony more often. Maybe he will lighten up."

  We both turned to Tony, and he narrowed his eyes at me.

  I shrugged and said,"Tony, your eyes are going to get stuck, if you keep on doing that. I just thought I should let you know."

  Rhodes smiled over at me, but then he walked up to Tony and gave him a hug.

  Tony automatically hugged back and said,"I will miss you, buddy. Be back in a few. We have business to attend to."

  Rhodes nodded, and I awwed at the two. Tony rolled his eyes and went to hit me with my apple I left on the table, but Rhodes stopped his hand.
  I licked my tongue out at Tony, and he did the same to me. Rhodes chuckled and led me outside of the office, before we passed by several security guards.
 
  I curiously said,"Rhodes?"

  Rhodes hmmed in response, before I curiously asked Rhodes,"Why are there so many guards going towards downstairs? Is something going on?"

  Rhode hesitated, until I overheard one of the guards talking about Bucky. I immediately understood, but I definitely had a bad feeling about this.

  I turned to Rhodes and said in a hurt tone,"You guys put him in another cell? Rhodes, get him out of there."

  Rhodes pulled me close and rubbed my shoulders saying,"Honey, there is nothing I can do to get him out of there. I know Bucky means something to you, but there is no getting him out of there. They are just asking him some questions, all right? Y/N?!"

  I refused to believe that Bucky needed to be down there. I knew he was not responsible for the bombing, so I was breaking the rules this time.
  I ran down the stairs and jumped over the next staircase, before I stopped at the door. I dialed the codes, and the door opened.

  I saw Bucky and immediately rushed over to whatever that thing was.

  Bucky said confused,"Y/N, what are you doing here? You should not be-"

  I felt something hit me from behind, before I groaned hitting the ground. Bucky yelled my name, but I was struggling to stay conscious.
  I managed to make out a man with glasses reading something to Bucky, but it seemed to be making him angrier with every word he read out. I went to stop him, but I slowly lost consciousness.

   HOURS LATER...

  When I woke up, I immediately tried to sit up. However, I was gently pushed back down. I looked up to see Tony, T'Challa, Natasha, Vision, and Rhodes in my room. Rhodes was still asleep, but he was holding my hand. Cute...
  T'Challa laughed, before he pushed Rhodes out of his chair. I giggled loudly, and that earned Rhodes' attention. Once his eyes met mine, he immediately rushed to my side and checked me over.

  I put my hands over his and weakly said,"I am fine, baby. My head just really hurts. Is Bucky okay?"

  Everyone looked at each other, before Tony sighed saying,"He escaped. We are looking for him now."

  I nodded and brought Rhodes closer. I leaned in and kissed him softly, before Rhode kissed back. He held on for the longest, and I did not want to let go.

  When Rhodes did pull away, Tony put a hand on his shoulder and said,"We have to go."

  Tony then turned to me and asked,"Y/N, will you be all right?"

  I gave them a weak smile and nodded, before Natasha offered to stay with me.(Guys I know Natasha was a double agent with both sides, but just pretend she stayed with you instead.)
      
  I kissed her cheek in thank you, and Rhodes got in beside me.

  I smiled and snuggled into him, as I mumbled into his chest,"Don't go."

  Rhode lifted my chin, before he nuzzled his nose against mine saying,"I am sorry, babe, but I have work to do. I will be back as soon as I can, okay? I love you."

  Tony groaned again, and I felt like throwing something else at him.

  Rhodes smiled down at me, while I replied back saying,"I love you more, War Marchine. I love you more."

  Rhodes hugged me gently, before I hugged back. I pouted when Rhodes ended the hug and followed Tony out the door. Vision handed me flowers, and I put my hand over my heart. He smiled and nodded to me, before he exited the room.
   
  T'Challa kissed my hands and softly said,"Get well, my sista."

  I nodded and kissed his cheek, before T'Challa left out, too. Now, it was just Natasha and I.

  She smirked at me saying,"How about we go and have some fun, huh? I was thinking about having a girl's day."

  I smirked back and chuckled saying,"You read my mind, Natasha Romanoff. You read my mind."
