   Y/N'S POV

Something needed to be done in Wakanda, and I felt like T'Challa wasn't doing enough. He could be doing so much more, but it was not going to get done with those authorities he had up there now.
After what happened with King T'Chaka and with N'Jadaka, word spread pretty fast about what would happen next. Who would be coming next to attack Wakanda. I needed to talk to King T'Challa and make something happen.

Once I was able to get inside the kingdom, I was stopped by Okoye. I was familiar with Okoye, because we butted heads a couple of times in the past.

She asked me,"What brings you here, Y/N?"

I rolled my eyes and said,"I'm not here to argue or fight with you, Okoye. I need to talk to your king, T'Challa."

Okoye got closer to me and explained to me,"I'm afraid you will be getting nowhere with that attitude, Y/N, and he is your king as well."

I shook my head and confidently said,"No. My king was King T'Chaka. It is not King T'Challa. Sorry."

Okoye narrowed her eyes at me, and someone said,"If you wanted my attention, Miss Y/N, you have gotten it."

I turned, and King T'Challa walked up to me.

He placed his hands behind his back and asked me,"Why won't you accept me as your king?"

I admitted to him,"I don't feel like there is enough being done around Wakanda. People are still afraid from what happened when N'Jadaka came back and took over Wakanda. Also, there has been rumors of many losing their faith in Wakanda. I don't think that would happen if your father was still king now."

T'Challa looked taken back, and he said to his protection,"I need everyone to leave. Give Miss Y/N and I some time alone."

When it was just T'Challa and I, he said to me,"I don't think you realize how much hatred you just sent my way. It hurts, Miss Y/N, it does, but you may not be wrong. I'm trying my best to look over what my father left behind and sometimes I do wish he was king, too. Not me. I'm trying."

Now, I felt really bad for all that I threw at T'Challa. I was not always considerate of other people's feelings, which was why it was so easy for me to talk certain ways to people whom I was not buddy buddy with at the moment.

I sighed and said,"I'm sorry, King T'Challa. I just think that there is more that can be done. More ways we can protect Wakanda from other outside forces."

T'Challa smiled at me and said,"You just called me "King" T'Challa. You did."

I groaned and T'Challa chuckled, before he held out his hand saying,"I will look past what you said when you first came in here, if you agree to help me keep Wakanda safe. Share with me some of your ideas that you think will help Wakanda. Deal?"

I shook his hand and replied,"Deal. First, do you have any food with you right now?"

T'Challa laughed and held out his arm. I linked my arm in his, and he led me to where the food was.

    A YEAR LATER...

"You know, Y/N, I didn't think you'd help me out this much. Thank you."

I nodded and stood beside King T'Challa, as we looked out at the sunset.

I said,"You're welcome, King T'Challa. I should probably head home. I'll come back to check on things tomorrow."

King T'Challa grabbed my arm and looked me in the eyes, asking me,"Be my queen, Y/N?"

I placed a kiss on his lips and said,"Of course, King T'Challa. Of course. Hey, when are we going to dinner?"

King T'Challa turned around and replied,"My Queen, when I call you. When I call you."

I thought I sensed some sass from T'Challa, but I would get him back later.
