Chapter 18

Aleska pulled back her arm and fired the blue orb with all her strength at Morgana sending the blue orb smashing and scattering into Morgana's shimmering wall of protection she'd summoned from the earthher earth powerto protect her and Patience from Aleska's witch magic.

Patience stumbled back a few paces before righting herself. Turning forward her right hand raised as if of it's own accord aglow in an amber color of light startling her, she flicked it to the front of her. The glowing orbs, three of which, flew off spiraling forward toward Aleska, gaining speed as the went.

Morgana by happenstance caught a view of the spiral reddish mass passing her body heading toward Aleska. With split seconds to spare she sent out a shimmer of a shield toward Aleska in time to deflect the spiral just in time to deflect it from hitting Aleska's heartknocking her on her butt in the process.

“That's it!” Aleska jumped to her feet both hands aglow just as Morgana wrapped her arms around her sides from the rear grounding her stifling her glowing hands, ending any further attacks she might have been able to make. “Let me go!” Aleska struggled in Morgana's vise like grip.

“No!” Morgana began. “Stop,” she commanded forcibly stilling all of Aleska's movements. “Enough,” she shook her like a rag doll in her grip till she stilled all her struggling. “K- No more, ya out of ya head.” Morgana whispered into Aleska's ear. “Calm dear one we mean ya no harm.”

Once Aleska was still in her arms Morgana turned her to face her so they were almost eye to eye. “Now what was that all about?” She asked Aleska. Her eyes had gone back from an almost red color to her sky blue color.

“I be OK,” She took a deep breath and blew it out, the lingering smell of herbs upon her breath could still be smelt by Morgana. “I be good now.” she nodded her head once as Morgana released her.

“What were ya smoking back there?” She gave a nod of her head to indicate her farmhouse when she asked. It had to be powerful for sure to take over her body as such.

Aleska crossed her arms under her ample bosom, feet standing shoulder width apart. A shear form a defiance in her form. “I has no idea what ya talkin bout shaman. I no be a smoken anything. I no put that in ma body!” She started getting flustered the more she talked.

“So ya no smoke no herbs, no weeds, then what ya take to make ya go off?” Morgana got up in her face wanting to know what she was on to cause these effects.

“Back off shaman'” Aleska stepped back a few steps trying to calm down. About them Nika came out to see what all the commotion was all about.

“Nika go back inside” Aleska insisted from behind Morgana's view.

“But momma!”

“NIKA GO!” Aleska screamed at her daughter. She turned and ran back to the house.

“Thank ya,” Morgana thanked her for not bringing Nika into the problems between the adults. Aleska just nodded her head in understanding. “I smelled ya. Herbs. What ya take ta day?”

Aleska shook her head side to side no. “No I no take nuthing, no,” again she denied it.

“Ya keep saying no but I smell on ya even now.” Morgana explained.

Aleska just shook her head side to side. “NO.”

“Why ya attack me?” Morgana asked.

“Ya attacked me first. Why ya here? I no do ya no harm.” She looked down at the dirt at her feet.

“Woo we no attack ya first. I come see ya, find out why ya have light flash in air over ya farm. Then ya attack us.”

“No that were y'all, I no do that. Y'all attack ma farm with light in air first then come for me.” She stomped her bare foot on the dusty dry ground sending up a puff of dirt into the air.

Morgana held up both of her hands into the air in front of her cutting off Aleska's triad in mid flight. “If you no did that, n I no did that, than who did?” Morgana thru the question out between them. Aleska stopped pounding the dirt with her feet to think.

They all stopped what they were doing to think this through. No one had a good answer for the question. The three walked around the corner over to the front porch steps and sat down to ponder what was going on at the farm.
