Chapter 18: Can't You See

Edward POV-

I froze. A chill going down my spine as Bella said the words.

"Gone?" I said

"Gone, disappeared, kidnapped, I don't know, whatever you want to call it!" Bella said, a worry in her voice.

"Deven." I whispered under my breath, but soon realizing that Bella can hear me. I focused my attention out the door, and read Alice's mind, which was filled with concerning thoughts about what was happening. I gave her a hard look and she immediately walked to us, followed by Jake.

"What's going on? She got cold feet didn't she? Oh my gosh what did you say to her? Is this your fault? I swear to god blood sucke-" Jake rambled

"JAKE SHUT UP." Bella yelled,  "Renesmee is missing! She went upstairs to get something and she was gone when I went to check on her. Alice, why didn't you tell us anything? Is it just because you wanted a wedding?" Bella snapped, even making the hair on my neck stand up.

"Well Bella don't you think I would if I could? I had no idea. I never got a vision." Alice said, looking down and defeated.

"I'm sorry Alice, I didn't mean that, I know you would never do anything to harm her in anyway. I just don't know what to do."  Bella started biting her nails

"We need to get everyone out of here." I said, "Humans get told that Renesmee felt sick. Wolves and Vampires get told what's going on. They need to be warned, it could be them next." But something in my own tone of voice didn't make me believe that it would be them. Something told me it had solely to do with my family.

Bella POV-

"Can I see her? Tell her I hope she feels better?" Charlie asked.

"She is asleep, but I promise to have her call when she is feeling better." I said, holding back the sobs, thinking about if she would even be able to call him again.

"Alright Bells, well it was beautiful while it lasted." He said, giving me a hug and walking away to his car. He was the last to leave. I shut the door softly and returned to the living room.

"We need a plan." Emmett said.

"We have to know who did it first." Esme said.

"Esme, we know who did it, it was Deven who else could it be?" Edward said.

I looked over at Jake, who was staring blankly at the wall, tears stained on his white tuxedo shirt. I walked over and sat by him, grabbing his hand into mine and giving it a squeeze.

"I knew we shouldn't of just let things go. We should of taken action and this never would of happened." Edward muttered.

"Well what I do-" Alice began but suddenly went completely still.

"Alice?" I said.

"I.. I got a vision. It was of Deven. She had Renesmee and a whole army, all of them had really strong powers... I heard a voice. Like someone was talking right to me. Something about that they were allowing me to see this vision, and that they had blocks in my mind. That is why I didn't get the vision that she was going to be kidnapped because she has a strong army. They can control my powers. I saw a big building. It looked like an old run down church, and they were all there, Renesmee was crying..." Alice sank into the couch behind her. "And she-"

"Stop." Jake said under his breath

"What?" Alice said

"I said stop. We are all just sitting here expecting to come up with a plan. An army with that power will destroy us. Rip us to shreds, and then even if by the chance that one of us is left standing, they will just kill her. We can't plan anything. We can't make a sneak attack. We can't do anything except go and just do what needs to be done. Whether you agree to it or not, I will not stop until every single one of them is dead." Jake said, keeping his fierce gaze on the wall, for the first time in my life, I was scared of him, yet I completely agreed.

"I agree." I said

"I do too." I looked back to see who it was, it was Edward.

"Of course I am in." Emmet stated

"I am too." Alice said, followed by a nod from Jasper.

"We will do what we can to help." Esme said, and Carlisle nodded.

"I disagree." Rosalie stated.

"What?" Edward and Emmett said at the same time.

"I am sick of putting this family in danger. Ever since Bella was here it has been downhill, and I will not forgive any of you for that, because it is all equally your fault for allowing a human into our lives. I love Renesmee and I will do what I can but I will not like it, and I will not agree, and I don't think I will ever forgive." Rosalie said.

"We all don't LIKE it, Rosalie. We do it because our family is our family, and I thought you of all people would be the one to agree. I am honestly ashamed to be your husband right now. Get over it, Bella is apart of the family now and you need to learn to just embrace it. " Emmett stated, "I am going to get stuff ready." Emmett left with the slam of a door.

"I am going with him." Jake said.

"Well, Rosalie, I am sorry I have caused such a problem for you. You really seemed to be my friend when I had a baby, but now it's back to the same old thing. You being jealous I was human, you hating that I had a kid, you hating that I love Edward, you hating everything that bringing me into this family has cost. But honestly, I don't care." I said, spitting my words as fast as they would come. Rosalie frowned and got up, walking upstairs.

"That's right, walk away from your problems." I said, but within two seconds Rosalie had my throat, and began to choke me, showing her teeth.

"WOAH!" Edward pulled me out from her grasp as Carlisle pulled Rosalie back.

"Let's go Bella." Edward pulled my arm tight, and let go only as we got out the door.

"What you don't agree?" I said, looking at him.

"I think that this is the wrong time to fight with each other about stupid stuff, when we should be together and fighting the enemy. You both were acting childish. We need to focus on the fact that our daughter has been kidnapped, and is probably really scared. That is what we need to do. Not the fact that everyone is jealous of each other." Edward said, I looked down, feeling bad.

"You are right, I'm sorry. I'm just scared too." I said.

He pulled me into his chest. "I am too Bella. I am too. Usually I can think of something to do, and know what to do. But I... I have no idea what to do right now. "

I sighed, MY heart actually picking up at the thought of nobody having any sense of anything, as Edward sensed this, he pulled me closer and stroked the back of my head. I finally started to calm down when suddenly I heard a scream that pierced my ears.
