Chapter 11: Deven's Story

-Bella POV-

Edward had left hunting with everyone else, Jacob and Renesmee were out and I sat at home, thinking about everything that had happened recently. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a slight knock on the door. I opened it to find the last person I wanted to see.

Deven.

I saw her smirk and cross her arms as she lunged at me and pulled me into the forest.

I woke up tied to a tree with chains that were tied very tight. I pulled against them but I was weak. I had not hunted in a while and now I wish I had gone with... With Edward. My eyes adjusted and I saw blonde haired Deven staring at me.

"Finally, geeze I was so bored you took forever to wake up!" She stated with a smirk

"What.." I pulled against the chains, "What do you want Deven"

She had made a fire as I noticed it was dark and we were in a part of the woods I had never been before. I knew the wolves were all down at the reservation and Ness and Jake wouldn't have come all the way out here. Neither would any of the Cullen's hunting. She took a stick and stuck it in the fire as he twisted it around an looked at it. Her blonde curls nearly in the flames. I growled loudly as I looked at her.

"Edward obviously didn't tell you everything about me did he?"

"That your a psychotic bitch? No he left that part out."

"Oh Bella," she laughed "Your little remarks don't bother me" she stepped closer and put her hand on my throat. My breath quickened.

"Look Bella, I'm going to tell you a little about my self, how does that sound?"

"Like hell" I said with my voice raspy and head down

"Good, glad to know your excited!" She clapped her hands together

"Whatever.." I growled out

"Well, when I was about 18 I married a man named John. He was a total jerk. I went out one night to visit my sister. We were sitting at a little table downtown Seattle in a little diner. I looked into my sister's eyes and all I saw was pain. My mother always treated us badly so as soon as John came along I left. John didn't want my sister living with us. And I kept promising her I would convince him, every time I asked though, he would hurt me.." She looked down and so did I.

"What does this even have to do with me?!" I questioned

"I'm almost to that part. So we were at the diner and this man, came and captured us. Before I knew it we were both vampires and that was it. That's all I remember. However something about the man fascinated me. He was nice to me, but ignored my sister. He explained to me one night that I was apart of an army... A newborn army.. To kill a girl named Bella."

I gasped and pulled tighter around the chains but she grabbed them, pulling them tighter, back to the original tightness. She grabbed my neck and whispered, "Maybe you remember?"

I growled, "You were apart of Riley's army?!"

She nodded

"That means you knew Victoria.." I said

She growled, "Oh please Riley used her to get me out of there. I asked to bring my sister but he wouldn't let me. He said that would make it too noticeable if 2 people were missing. But he promised to keep her alive. I did leave and after the army I went looking for Riley, I caught his scent up a mountain and saw Victoria burning in flames. I walked a few miles up and saw Riley. I smelled Edward and you and a wolf. Riley had been torn to shreds! All because of you!" She screamed

I flinched as she went on, "Then I went looking for my sister, but found her dead too.. Maybe you know her. Bree? Yeah we'll she was dead too and so I had nobody. All because of you!! Everything was because of you! No wonder Victoria and James and Riley all wanted to kill you!"

She took a deep breath and I stayed silent until she spoke, "So since you are the reason for everything, I want Edward to be mine. To replace Riley. The only way to do that, is well to kill you!"

I looked at her and gasped. "Deven...."

"Oh and did I mention I spent 20 years running from the Volturi, since you Cullen's couldn't protect her? I went and made a scene to make them pay for killing my sister! But all they have done is chase me! So I left Seattle and moved to Oregon. But now I'm back. Back to get what I want.

She came closer and wrapped her hands on my neck and suddenly everything went dark.
