A Twilight Story

Chapter 4: Lost

-Bella POV-

I slowly pulled out a journal that I found in the desk next to my bed. I thought writing down my thoughts would help....

It has been 2 weeks. I sit in the meadow most days and walk around the forest. I miss him. Its like when he left before. It feels like the deep whole in my stomach is back. I twist the note in my hand and re read it everyday. I feel so lost.

I sit in the meadow today. Pulling up some of whats left of the flowers. Its getting colder, so they are dying. Or at least that's what I tell myself. I am distant from all the Cullen's and Renesmee and Jake. They all know what has happened, and Emmett goes out in the woods everyday, sometimes Alice goes too, to look for him. I always smell them when I am out there but I just sit there and cry tear-less tears. I wish he would come home. Esme brings me blood and leaves it by the door of the cottage, and usually a note telling me I should come over and they would take care of me. But I never do. It goes in to the box I already have filled up of the notes from them. Alice usually drops off clothes everyday and leaves them on the edge of the bed. I always dress in them and brush my hair and then I just cuddle back up in the bed. Or sometimes in front of the fire. Renesmee is upset. She calls Edwards phone, hoping he will answer. But Jacob mostly comforts her when she cries. Unlike her mother, who just gave up. I'm happy though, that Renesmee has Jacob, like I did when Edward left last time. That memory makes me cry again. I just don't know what to do anymore.

-Renesmee POV-

Jacob wraps hims arms around me as I try not to cry again. "I miss him so much Jake.." Jacob doesn't like that Edward left again, hurting not only my mom this time, but me too. He growls and says,

"He has a way of disappointing everyone." I roll my eyes and look at him.

"Have some consideration okay?" He nods

"Sorry Ness." He leans in to kiss me and I kiss softly back

"I love you." He says

"What?" I say surprised

"You heard me.. I love you Renesmee Carlie Cullen..."

I look shocked, nobody has ever said they love me, besides family. I look at Jacob.

"I love you too."

"You do?" he said with a happy look on his face.

"Yes, I do Jake."

"That makes things easier... Now Renesmee... I want to get married."

I furrow my brow, "Married?!" 

"I love you and you love me, when people love each other, they get married... So Renesmee will you marry me?" I saw him pull out a black box and I looked at him in shock not saying anything.

"Jacob.. I am like 17... And technically like 5" 

"Just one year younger before your mom got married." He said with a smile

"My dad is missing.. and you want to get married now? Jake, I do want to get married, but now isn't the right time.. I hope you respect that..."

He looks me in the eye and shuts the black box, putting it back in his pocket as He walks toward the window and opens it. I see steam start to come off his face and I know he is mad. 

"That bloodsucker you call your father is always in the way of things!" 

"How could you say that?!" He then jumped out the window and I saw him phase and run into the darkness.
