I cut off her wings. Her beautiful wings that let her fly... her beautiful wings that let her go to heaven... home...

I had a knife to cut them off, it was the only thing I could get my hands on that would work. I wanted her to eat this medicine stuff that would numb her and possibly put her to sleep but she would have none of that. She gripped the wall her fingertips bloody as they scratched into it and she screamed as I sawed her wings off. They didn't bleed as much as I thought they would and after soaking up most of the blood with a cloth she allowed me to bandage the fresh two holes in her back. I asked her what she wanted me to do with the wings and with a malice I had only ever seen from her and the devil himself she said, "Burn them" before she walked away. She told me she was going to walk back to the park and meet with Miku. That she needed to get used to being human.

I didn't burn her wings.

Far from it I actually cleaned the blood off of them and held them, stroking her soft feathers as the last of the heat drifted from them. I never wanted her to fall. I wanted her to be happy. I didn't think that being human would make her happy. No I didn't think that at all. But the best I could do now was be with her and make sure she didn't sign with the devil.

I was an envy demon, because of that I was envious of the love Rin had for Miku. I wanted that love, and because of that I fell in love with Rin. It was that love that made me do it.

Standing in front of Miku and Len in the park I held my pistol out in front of me with a single arm. The pain I was feeling that Rin would never be loved by Miku. That her love was wasted on this girl as she threw herself at this fallen angel.

"You took everything from her!" I screamed at them outraged, "All she wanted was your love! Len! You took that from her!"

I fired the gun right as Len screamed "Brother no!" and Miku jumped in front of Len, in front of the bullet aimed at him.

The bullet rammed into the center of her chest causing her to fall back into Len's arms and crumble all at once. She clutched at her now bleeding chest and smiled up at Lens screaming crying face. I guess he really did love her.

But that wasn't my concern. Len being Mizuki wasn't my biggest concern either, though now it made sense why I thought I recognized him. He had grown to much and the hair change threw me off. No the biggest concern was that I had just accidentally killed Miku. Rin would hate me forever and do nothing until she could find death and be with Miku. Rin would die because I just tried to murder my brother who had stolen the girl that the girl I loved, loved.

I fell to my knees in shock. Len was still screaming and Miku was saying things but they were to quiet for me to hear. Then I realized Len was silently screaming as well. I couldn't hear anything. Miku's eyes were fluttering now trying to stay open and I heard a scream.

Rin ran into the park and fell to her knees next to Miku trying to take her from Len though he wouldn't let her go. Tears were streaming down her face as she screamed, "Miku no!" over and over and over. Each time louder and more piercing. I winced each time.

Rin suddenly stopped screaming and I opened my eyes that I didn't realized I had closed. She was still crying but she had a seriousness in her still.

"I love you Miku." Rin said as more tears flowed down her cheeks. Miku's eyes widened before fluttering again as she died. Rin leaned forward resting her head on Miku's chest getting blood in her blonde hair.

Her pale skin began to get paler, then started to glow. Soon her entire body was glowing and Len's eyes widened in shock knowing what she was doing while I jumped up running towards her screaming her name and for her to stop. By the time I reached her she had exploded into little silver particles drifting apart and up into the wind. I grabbed at them trying to pulling them back into the Rin I loved but the particles escaped through my fingers and traveled into the sky.
