Rin ~4

"As much as I would like to talk to you now I need to get back . . ." I said glancing at the ground trailing off.

Katio smiled undeterred. "Yes it is about time for your meeting with Miku isn't it? Well I'll just come with you . . . She seems to be a nice gal . . ."

I gasped my eyes widening. "She isn't going to meet a demon like you! she is to good to meet a demon!"

Katio raised an eyebrow. "You say that yet you don't know her past. She really is a naughty girl. She's met demons before, lust demons. Of course she didn't realize that they were demons, we all look the same to humans." He flapped his hand at me turning away dismissivly. "You may be gone angel."

I wasn't sure if I should laugh or be mad so my face was twisted with confusion as I stretched out my wings launching myself into the air. As I was flying overhead I glanced down to see Katio looking up at me his face unreadable. Though as I got farther away I felt that he was smiling.

I got to the garden and rushed out to Miku gasping for air, flying was easier than running but fast and ong distance still was tiring.

"I'm sorry I'm late Miku! I got caught up with something . . ." I trailed off to see her lost in thought.

She came to and turned her head towards me. She smiled when she saw me. "You aren't that late Rin, besides it's not like after seeing you every day for months I would be mad at being slightly late. What were you caught up on?"

"Um . . ." I rubbed the back of my neck with my hand. "A guy stopped me on my way here. He's going to try to help me and all so I'm glad I met him but still . . ."

Miku's eyes lit up. "Rin thats great!" She grabbed my hands squeezing them gently. "I'm so happy for you."

"So happy for me?" I asked confused. "Why? He's just some guy."

"However," She said her face blinding with a smile, "A guy can mean a relatiosnhip. This is just what you need to get out there and meet people Rin! A guy could totally help you with that!"

"Um . . . I'm not looking for that kind of relationship with him . . . he is just helping me with a little problem is all . . ."

My words never met her ears. "I think that we both need to settle down and get married. This guy also aproached me today and he was very handsome, He has this very positive demeanor about him."

"Wait who?" I asked instantly protective.

she laughed at my reaction. "Don't be so against the idea of love Rin! He seemed very nice though he did flirt rather intensively. He had this pink hair that hung down to his eyes and around his face, he was very tall and muscalar and was so very handsome." She tapped her chin thoughtfuly. "I've actually met a couple of guys that acted like him before. I got together with them but they disapeared soon after never to be heard of since."

That's when the realization struck me, Kaito was right. She was with lust demons. Using her beauty to gain power before leaving her behind. 

"Rin are you ok?" Miku broke into my thoughts and placed a soft hand on my cheek. "You look so angry and sad at the same time."

I placed my hand on hers holding it on my face. She didn't pull back but she did stop confused. I closed my eyes loving the warm touch before releasing her hand and sitting down next to her on the fountain my hands on my knees.

She seemed to be waiting for me to do something so I nodded. "Yes I'm fine, I just realized something is all."

"Realized what?" She asked leaning forward as if to hear me better. 

"I-" I cut off hesitating. I turned to face her looking her straight in the eye. "I realized that we don't want the same thing."

I wanted to kiss her right then but wasn't sure how she would react. I also would prefer not bursting into flames while she is sitting here so close. Tears filled my eyes and I stood up bowing to her in goodbye before running off.
