I frowned shaking my head. "No. Wait what?"

Kaito's mother smiled new happy tears forming in her eyes as she reached over and grabbed her husbands hand giving it a gentle squeeze. "He told us a long time ago that he would only bring a girl home if he truly loved her."

I frowned again not sure if I liked where this was going. "No he sent me here to say goodbye... I haven't known him that long and I love someone else... I'm sorry... I guess." I wasn't sure if I should apologize but his mother looked severly hurt as I spoke.

"You're pretty." Mei piped up happily. "I wouldn't be surprised if he liked you. He said he had a thing for blondes."

I blushed slightly at that and then reflected in horror, why would I blush over Kaito? His family took it as a good sign though because his mother smiled anew.

Katio's father leaned towards me again a light smile on his face, "What is your name young lady?"

I had totally forgotten to introduce myself and felt bad for being so impolite. "I'm Rin," I said quickly, "I'm sorry for not saying so earlier."

"Rin.." Kaitos father echoed quietly. The entire family that was in between sadness and happiness about Kaito was now all smiling happily like they were drunk, drunk on a love that wasn't there.

"I'm really not with Kaito." I said sternly wanting to make sure they understood.

"Nothing you say will convince them now," Rima said with a laugh gesturing to her parents, "They will probaby tell the whole of heaven that Kaito is happy on earth living as a human with an angel that he loves."

I sighed understanding her words all to clearly, then I paused noticing her words of Kaito. "Wait, you don't know?"

"Don't know what?" Rima asked expectanly.

I shook my head not wanting to tell ther that her brother as actually a demon. They can live happily thinking that he is happy with me, though he truly isn't.

Something must have shown on my face because the family went silent watching me. I looked at all of them in turn surprised and not sure what to say. "What?"

"Nothing dearie." Kaito's mom smiled. "do you think we can go down and see him?"

"No!" I shot out of my chair scaring the family. embarressed I sat down again. I didn't want them to know Kaito wasn't a human. "I mean, well, he is always traveling and I don't think seeing you will help him ease any... He's very easygoing and is always smiling but I can see a deep sadness in him so I think that's his regret and stuff so..." I trailed off sure I just made them want to see him more.

"Ok." Kaito's dad said. "That just means we expect you to give him news of him."

"Um well..." I didn't know how to continue, any angel that gave up their wings was treated as outcasts by the major populace. "I'm... I'm not going to be able to come back..." I winced waiting for the questions and yelling or anything but none came and that was almost worse. These people didn't care.

"Ok then can you help Kaito find brother?" Mei asked with wide inocent eyes.
