Rin ~14

I watched silently as the boy pulled Miku away by the hand after they had just been kissing. I wasn't trying to stay hidden but I wasnt in the open either standing behind a clump of bushes. Ok yes I was hiding. I had landed dropping Kaito before running towards the park. Just as I was about to burst out Kaito snatched my hand and stopped me. I didn't know what he was doing and started yelling at him before I realized that Miku was talking to that boy.

So we snuck around to the clump of bushes that we were at now and I watched and listened attentively not saying a word. Kaito stuck close by me placing a hand on my shoulder as if to comfort me. As they leaned in for a kiss one small tear collected in my eye and dribbled over down the side of my pale face. It was bad enough to be almost rejected but seeing the girl you love kissing another person happily... that was to much. To to much. Once they were gone out of the park I krept out of the bushes Kaito following suit. I sat on the fountain just as Miku had many times before with me sitting next to her and dropped my head into my hands.

Kaito sat next to me calmly putting his arm around me and I just sat there thinking. No more tears came after that one had escaped and still a word had not left my mouth. I didn't need to speak to reflect. But Kaito had no such reason.

"That guys shadows were weird. There were quite a lot of them, but they wavered and disapeared before coming back. He's not a demon but it's almost like he's shifting back and forth between human and angel."

I frowned processing this. "Now that I think about it, his soul was strange too. It flickered back and forth between angel to human as well... maybe he was an angel once? But he cut off his wings."

Kaito nodded giving me a gentle squeeze. "You ok Rin?"

I nodded, then I shook my head, then I nodded, before I ended with a shrug. 

A light smile crosses Kaito's face at my confusion and he gives me anther squeeze. "You'll be ok Rin. You're an angel you're strong."

"I don't want to be an angel." I whispered under my breath. "You know I don't."

"Well I truly think you should stay an angel. Humans live terrible lives. I hate hell remember? So I spend a lot of my time up here on earth. Few humans live pleasent lives."

I shrugged again. "I just want to be with Miku."

Right as I said that Miku came sauntering in her skirt in her hands so that she could move easier. Upon seeing us she smiled broadly clearly in a fantastic mood compared to my down one.

"I'm here Rin!" She sang happily standing in front of me. She grabbed my chin forcing ime to look up at her. "You aren't allowed to be sad. Never again you aren't allowed to be." without skipping a beat she turned her head to Kaito her smile never once wavering. "Who is this fine young man? Is he with you Rin? You sure did a good job. He has nice hair." She reached foward and brushed a bit of hair out of Kaito's shocked eyes before I could even deny that we were a couple.

"We aren't a couple." I managed to say between her happy bursts of speech.

Her smile wavered slightly before returning full force. "Well we just have to fix that now don't we? Do you like this man?"

"What kind of question is that?" I said angrily.

Taking that as a yes she faced Kaito before asking the same question, "And you? Do you like Rin?"

Kaito frowned momentarily before saying, "Well yeah but-"

Miku cut him off before he could finish whatever he was about to say. "Then It's settled! You two should go on a double date with Len and me!"
