Rin ~7

I smiled up at Kaito's face sure there was an evil glint in my eye. "Well? You said you would."

"Yes . . ." Kaito said hesitantly the shock and worry plain on his face. 

I laughed proud that I could shock a demon. I turned around facing away from Kaito stalking around in a circle, then paused. I turned puzzled to Kaito, "Since when were we here?"

Kaito shrugged. "Miku was watching us so I sent us here, you were to busy crying to notice."

I paused. "Weird..." I perked up. "Is this where you spend your time? Are we in hell?"

Kaito's face was very confused and worried obviously wondering why an angel such as myself was happy to be in hell. "No we aren't in hell . . . but I could get you there if you wanted . . . " He trailed off rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm not sure you are a very pure angel. I can almost see shadows flickering around you."

I laughed. "I don't plan on being an angel for much longer." At Katio's scared face I grinned extending one wing. I pulled it around me painlessly and began to stroke it with a tender hand. "Wouldn't a demon like you want these wings of mine? I wonder what you could do with them."

"Wh-why?" Kaito stuttered. He cleared his throat and repeated the question. "Why? Why do you want me to take your wings?"

I looked up at him wide eyed and inncoent. "Only a demon would willingly cut off an angels wings yes? Other angels wont do the job, Humans can't know, so that only leaves demons yes?" I smiled sweetly. "I want to be with Miku. Only these wings stand in my way."

Realization dawned on Kaito's face. "That's why you were looking for a demon."

I nodded enthusiastically releasing my wing. "I want these gone, then I can be with Miku." 

Kaito shook his head as if he couldn't believe what I was saying. "Miku doesn't love you back she could be with another demon right now." He closed his eyes in concentration. "Yes," he said finaly, "Whe's with Yuma right now." His eyes opened and he looked at me with eyes that seemed to be filled with deep sadness and concern. "Yuma is at her house waiting for her."

"Yuma?" I whispered. "A . . . a lust demon?"

Kaito nodded. "Don't cut your wings off, just don't. there is nothing positive you get from that. Miku won't love you back the way you do her. Stay an angel, you will be happier that way."

"What do you know? You are just an envy demon! You know nothing about love! You know nothing about what I'm feeling!" I screamed in outrage and the pain flashed in Kaito's eyes. I instantly regretted my words but was determined to not take them back.

"It's because I'm an envy demon that I know exactly how you feel Rin." He said quietly. "I have watched as people fall in love have wanted that so bad. I have seen so many things that I've wanted. I thought being a demon was all fine and dandy, until I actually became one and realized how much of a pain it is. I used to have body heat . . . now I burn and sweat in hell every night though I am always so very very cold."

I stopped pacing turning to face him. I was about two yards away from him and that gave me easy acess to scan him from head to toe. He was handsome I'd give him that but I had my sights on Miku of course. Though it wasn't his looks that froze me but his deep eyes filled with regret and pain.

"What do you mean 'I used to have body heat'?" I asked tentitivly.

Kaito shrugged looking away from me. "Each kind of demon is different. Some are born, some are made. Blood demons are born. but all the seven sins demons . . . they are made." 

I waited for him to continue but when he didn't I pressed on. "So you were a human once?"

Kaito shook his head and fixed me with a gaze that if I wasn't frozen already would have surely turned me to ice. That death cold stare of regret, pain, sadness, and now a new set of determination. "I was an angel once Rin, I cut off my wings and signed a deal with the devil to become what I am."
