Rin ~9

I knocked gently on the door and stepped back waiting for the door to open. When it did open a young woman a few years older than Kaito stood there. I wondered if becoming a demon would change your appearance but I saw that I was wrong because the girl here had the same eyes as Kaito, and the same nose. Her hair was more of a purpilish color though.

"Are you um.. Rima?" I asked politely. When Her eyes turned questioning I took that as a yes. "Um well... Kaito sent me."

At that her eyes bugged and she grabed my arm pulling me into the house. She closed the door quiickly and pushed me down the narrow hallway. at the end she turned into a door where a dining room was and sitting there was an older man and woman, I guessed Kaito's parents. They were sitting at the table holding hands across the table and looked up startled as we burst into the room.A young girl carrying a toddler came into the room disturbed by the noise. 

Rima pulled back a chair shoving me down into it and sat in the chair next to mine. She looked to the girl, I think Mei, and gestured to the chair next to her mother.

I looked into each family members face discurning each detail and how it was related to Katio. looking into the fathers face he had the eyes and the wavy locks of hair though they were brown. The mother had very thin long hair with the same shocking blue color, she also had his thin lips that curled easily into a smile. Mei had the thin blue hair but it was cut short into a pixie cut. The toddler in her arms was a girl with the same eyes, thick locks, though her hair too was brown. 

"Hello." The mother greeted me warmly the shock evaporated from her eyes. "What brings you here to our small home?"

I laughed at her remark for this house was far from small. calming down I returned her smile with a small one, "Kaito told me to come see you."

The smile, and everyone else for that fact, froze and changed once moe to shock. 

Mei spoke first, "is he ok? Is he well? What's he like now? Has he changed much?"

My smile widens at her persistance. "Being that I did not know him before I can not tell if he has changed or not. However he is doing well as he can be. He seems to always be smiling. Though I've seen other emotions from him." I turned and faced the mother my smile still the same, "It's not hard to see him when he has inherited your hair."

Tears came to her eyes and she looked up at the ceiling as if she was thanking God, a habit even though God was not higher than us but actually the same level interacting with us. 

The father leaned forward towards me, "Why did he send you?"

"To say goodbye." I said bluntly. "He never got to say goodbye and he wanted me to tell you now. I'm going through a time that I need comfort but because I have no family he sent me to yours to say goodbye to instead."

"Bye Kaito." Rima breathed. It was so quiet that I almost didn't hear her. But I did hear her and sat up in my chair making sure i was taller than her and hugged her the way Kaito had hugged me, protectively.

She started crying at that and clutched at my arms and not knwoing what else to do I just squeezed her tighter. She pulled back and the rest of the family was looking at me expectantly. 

"You must know Kaito really well if you know how he hugs people." Mei said with a smile.

I shrugged. "He's hugged me before I just did the same thing."

Suddenly the father beamed his own eyes shining over with tears. "He sent you to us because you're the one aren't you? You're with Kaito right?"
