My eyes widened in shock. "Really?" I whispered to myself unsure if Kaito had even heard me.
He apparently did because he nodded and continued. "Cutting off your wings basically makes you human, but you can always sign with the evil and become a demon."
"That's not what we were taught at all . . ." I whispered.
Kaito shrugged. "I'm sure that the people up there don't want angels to know they can sign with the devil. Anyone can become a demon, but only with the help of God can one become an angel."
I paused at that line, "Where'd you hear that? Is it a common line in hell?"
Kaito laughed shaking his head. "No I am the one behind that line, and it is very true."
I nodded knowing that it sure was in fact true. Put in this new light, or maybe shadow, I had more things to ponder. Shrugging it off I looked up at Kaito cocking my head. "Why did you become a demon?"
Kaito was not surprised by the question. I didn't know how old he was since who knew if demons aged but he was a head taller than me easily, and maybe more. His sad eyes glinted as his neck craned to look down on me. "I'm an envy demon remember? I saw the demons, and I thought that hell was better than heaven; no rules, no sense of justice. Freedom. That's what I thought. Really, it's hell. No pun intended."
I chuckled at Kaito's stupidity and hoped he didn't notice. "Does this mean you aren't going to cut off my wings? I can just be human."
Kaito looked torn. "I can cut off your wings Rin . . . but first I want you to relish your time as an angel, because once your wings are gone they can't grow back and you should know that. You'll never go to heaven again. You'll have to make a living on earth and live as a human. But you have to promise me, never become a demon. Never. It's never what you think it will be."
I nodded understandingly. I turned so that my back was facing him and stretched out my wings so he could see them. "You can take them now."
KAito growled. "Did you not just hear me Rin? You need to go to heaven and soak up everything there that you will have to give up. All your friends and family say goodbye to. See if you can meet God and Jesus, it shouldn't be that hard."
I shook my head. "I have no friends Kaito. I have no more family. Just Miku. Miku is the only one in my life now. I can pray to God here in the human churches, heck I can preach and maybe make living with it." I laughed.
"Then . . . go see my family."
I turned around shocked and confused at his propsal. "Why? Did I just hear you right?"
"Go see my parents, my sisters, my brother. Meet them, tell them bye for me. Maybe stay over for dinner. Tell them sorry for me." Kaito's eyes were pleeding and sincere wanting me to do this for him.
I shrugged. "Sure why not. Who's Your parents?"
He told me their names and With that I bid him farewell as I began the flight back up to heaven, up to say my goodbyes to people I had never met.
So um I've been writing and adding to this on and off and I haven't updated in awhile but sometimes I just don't get a feel for writing you know? Anyways I want to hear what the people reading this have to say about this story . . . Yes the characters are from vocaloid but their characters here aren't matched up to them specifically. Miku doesn't love leeks and Kaito doesn't love ice cream. I'm sorry. ;) Haha. Anyways please comment below and et me here what you think. ^_^
