Rin ~15

I stood frozen in place as the words left her mouth. Her smiling face began to swirl and my stomach felt weak. I swayed slightly and Kaito instantly stood up to catch me holding my shoulders. I leaned on him instinctivly as I fought back tears. Miku tilted her head slightly, confusion crossing her face.

"Do you not like the idea...? You don't have to... Though you look really sick. Can you take her home...?" She adressed this last question to Kaito who sighed.

"You are in your own little world Miku...." He whispered. Miku frowned as he continued, "We will go to the doible date but we aren't a couple. I'm just going so that Rin isn't a third wheel."

At his words I closed my eyes unable to cover the tears so I simply let one small one escaped hoping Miku never saw it. I didn't have to worry though because as it began to slip I felt Kaitos cold finger brush the tear away. 

The next few minutes were a blur but I vaguely remember Miku giving the details to Kaito who nodded before she skipped away happily. As soon as she was gone I callapsed and Kaito moved his hands from my shoulders to around my waist to hold me up before he guided me to a seat.

"If you were ok earlier you aren't now." Kaito said with a grim voice his arms still around my small frame to help me sit up.

I opened my eyes and looked at his face the tears falling uncontrolably. Shrugging I said, "I don't think I was fine before... but now I have to go watch them be lovey dovey..."

Kaito chuckled slightly though hs face was still grim, "And I get to sit there and make sure you don't cry or attempt to beat this Len guy up."

A small smile broke through at his comment though the tears still flowed unceasingly.

A releaved smile crossed Kaitos face, "Smile more, you are cuter when you smile."

That time I frowned the tears coming to a short of halt. Looking up at him I had mixed feelings not sure if I should be angry or embarressed. "I blame my counterpart for the tears, but that doesn't give you permission to call me cute."

Kaito chuckled his laugh coming from deep in his chest. He released me from his arms and despite his body being cold the breeze tickled me and made me shiver. "Your counterpart huh? He does look like a twin of yours or something. The same sky bue eyes, the same blonde hair, makes you wonder if maybe Miku did love you but only because you were female she never said anything."

I froze at that my heart thumping. Could Miku love me? I shook my head to clear it, paused, and then shook my head again in denying. "She was talking about boys before she met Len. She was with Shima or Yuma or whoever last night."

Kaito nodded in agreement, "Yuma is a jerk though. He is a lust demon but he sure takes the cake, or the girl in this case. Most lust demons stay with one girl for a little while depending on how good they are but he is only a one timer before moving on."

I frowned disgusted, "That's bad, but why are you telling me this? I didn't need that information."

Kaito paused for answering in a small voice, "I was aiming to get your mind off of the double date tonight..."

I gasped shooting up to my feet, "It's TONIGHT? Can she not wait or something?!"
