Three months. Three months since that dinner date. Three months since Miku stopped coming to the daily meetings. three months since I have talked to her. Every day I would sit at the fountain and wait for her knowing she wouldn't come and sit there and cry being pitiful until Kaito would show up and force me to leave. He rarely left me now. He would take me random places To try to cheer me up. Earth has some amazing things but it never was enough. I was empty now. Without her I was just back to my normal nothing.

There was nothing to live for.

I was nothing.

Kaito took my gun from me.

I was sitting at the fountain crying. I had been sitting there for a few hours, I didn't know how long specifically, but it was getting dark and I knew Kaito would turn up soon to take me somewhere new. He did a good job of that, never showing me the same place twice. You'd think after 91 days he would run out of ideas. So I stared at my knees watching my tears drip onto my pale skin and wonder how Miku was doing. Wonder where I would be tonight. Wonder where that Ren came from.... It was routine now. It wouldn't change until I was able to die.

"Rin?" I heard a tentative voice.

I looked up my blue eyes wide my tear stained face probably pale and blotchy. But standing before me was Miku. She was beautiful just as I remembered her. A flowing black shirt around her ankles reaching up to a tight lacy corset that pressed in her sides and pushed up her breasts that threatened to spill out of the laced edges of the shirt and the long loose sleeves with cuffs on each hand covering the arm of her gloves.

"Miku..." I breathed hardly believing what I was seeing.

"Oh Rin!" She cried dropping down next to me and pulling me into a hug. "I missed you!"

I wanted to respond and say that I missed her too but the words caught in my throat as another sob rose and I struggled to choke it down. I wouldn't continue crying now that she was here.

"Rin there's so much I have to tell you!" Miku said pulling back the largest happiest smile I had ever seen glowing on her face. "Len proposed!!"

My heart sank. My eyes closed and my head dropped slightly accepting what she had meant. She wasn't here to see me. She was here to tell one more person about how happy this fallen angel made her. Well if one fallen angel can, that so can another. I stood up suddenly almost knocking a surprised Miku off the ledge.

"I have to go." I said without an emotion rising to my voice. "I will see you tomorrow. Here. The same time that I've waited for you for 92 days when you never came."

She looked like she was about to say something but I turned before the hurt in her eyes could affect me. I walked out of the courtyard and once I was safely around the corner I flew off in search of Kaito.

He was very close and walking leisurely and was very shocked when I landed next to him.

"I was just coming to fetch you. Did something-" He cut off noticing the look set deep in my eyes. "What's wrong with you?"

"You need to cut off my wings." I said sternly staring up into his bewildered face.

"Wait what? Why so sudden-"

I cut him off saying, "I saw Miku. Len proposed to her. I need to tell her I love her before she is given to someone else."

Kaito opened his mouth to argue but closed his mouth and his eyes when he saw that I would not budge. His breathing was quiet and he stood almost perfectly still.

His eyes opened slowly and he rose his gaze to meet mine staring up at him before he very slowly nodded. "Fine," He whispered, "I'll cut off your wings."
