-Ding ding!-

I grab my phone from my desk and saw it was a text message from Toby. I slide on the message and he said

From: Toby(:

Aren't you suppose to be sleeping? 

Whoa.. How did he know I'm not asleep yet?

R: What? I am asleep.. Until you message me. 

From: Toby(:

Oh really? How can anyone sleep with the lights on? 

R: Oh fine.. I'm awake. Anyways, I'm about to go to sleep. 

From: Toby(: 

Good. Now good night, have a sweet dream :)

R: Haha you too, have a sweet dream (: 

And with that I turn off the lights but left my lampshade on since I'm afraid of the dark. I might had watched too much horror movies such as Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark .. I hate horror movies but I still watched it. How typical am I? 

I pull the covers close my body and snuggle up and soon, I fell asleep.

-6:00 am-

As much as I love my sleep, my alarm clock just have to ring. Turning on the lights, I was blinded with the brightness and I was wide awake. Making my way to the bathroom, I took a really quick shower then brushing my teeth. I turn on some music from my phone and played Cody Simpson's new song Pretty Brown Eyes. After that, I went into my closet to see if I have something good to wear because Toby is walking with me to school and I don't wanna look like how my old self look like. Maybe something simple but cute! 

Taking my black polka dot skater skirt and a plain white top I change into them. Walking towards my full body length mirror, I thought I look kinda cute and girly. Well I guess that's how girly girls are. And for shoes, I just put on my white converse. For accessories, I put on some bracelets and taking a small bow clip and clip it onto my hair. 

I look at my digital wall clock and saw it was 7:00 am. Well I take one whole hour just to look this good? Wow.. I didn't even had make up on yet. Nah, I don't need too. 

Then I heard my phone rang and I saw the caller ID which is Toby. I smile to myself and nervously pick up.

"Hello?" I said

"Hey Rose, I'm already outside your front door. Are you ready?" He ask, wow he is fast.

"Erm.. No.. I just finish getting ready and hadn't ate breakfast.. Hope you don't mind waiting."

"Nah, its alright." 

"Okay, I'll just ask my mum to let you in alright? Bye." 

"Alright, good bye." 

And I hung up. I grab my school bag and my phone along with me and rush out of my room to the kitchen to eat some breakfast. My mum was already ready for work and had done making breakfast, "Hey mum, could you let Toby in our house? His waiting outside." I said as I quickly grab my plate and my mum handed my some french toast. 

"Oh, he's already here. Behind you actually." I look at her confuse and turn around to see Toby sitting on one of the stool at the kitchen counter eating. He wave hello to me and smile.

"Oh.. I didn't know you were here.. That was fast.." I said.

"Well a good morning to you too Rose. I actually came here a bit early and your mum had let me in already." He said.

"Oh really? Okay.." I set my plate down next to his and sat on the opposite side of him. So I was facing him. We continue to eat in silence until we were done, both of us wash our plates. 

"Bye guys! I got to leave for work now. Take care." My mum said before shutting the door. Now it's just the two of us.. "Well, we are done washing the plates. You wanna go now?" I heard Toby ask out of the blue. I jump a little and place my palm over my beating heart since I got scare. Technically almost everything makes me scare. A loud noise or just a person voice (if I'm not paying attention).

"Uhm.. Yeah let's go." I grab my school bag and we headed out. It was just the both of us walking in silence and I don't like it. Nor do I even like noisy places, it just paranoids me. The only sound was the birds chirping, us walking on the pavement and car passing us by. That's it. 

"So.. You said you were gonna show me around the whole school right?" Toby started the conversation. 

"Ye-eah.." Well, I actually don't know. If I did show him around, everyone will just stare at me like I just murder someone and that would make him uncomfortable and soon, we'll just drift a part. 

"Hey, Rose. You alright? You seem in a really deep thought.." Toby held my hand and stop me. 

"Huh? Yeah.. I'm fine. Just thinking about something.. But it's not important.." He let go of my hand and we started walking again. "Alright.." Was all he said. Soon, we reach the school main gate and I can feel the tension rising like always. Goosebumps started forming along my tanned arms. I can feel almost every pair of eyes are on us, well mostly on me. 

Right now I feel like running away. Running back home and never going back outside. I took a deep breath and carried on walking. I could feel Toby trailing behind me like a lost puppy but he is new to this school so of course he would feel lost.

"Alright so here's the office and you should probably go get your schedule. I'll wait outside for you." I said not meeting eyes at him. "Okay.."
