Angels Cry (Before You Exit - Toby Mcdonough)

Chapter 60

Toby and I were in his room and thinking of what we should do.

"Hey, I want to show you something." He said. I look at him cautiously and grab his hand which he has been holding out for awhile. I push myself up and he drag me towards his window that was facing the backyard.

I raise an eyebrow, "Okay? What are we doing here?" I asked feeling confuse and have no clue what to do.

"You see, there is a roof below," he point down and I noticed it, "that is usually where I would go if I can't fall asleep. Just sit there and watch the night sky."

"Wow that is cool. It is like sleeping with the stars except not on the ground but the rooftop!" I said.

"So I was thinking that we could watch the night sky and just cuddle." He explained. That sounds like a good idea actually.

"Hm... This make us seem like rebels. And I always wanted to be one so yeah!" I agreed. He grab a few pillows and blanket then he got out first and set the things down before going back to get me. He held out his hand for me to take but I suddenly had second thoughts about it.

Oh dear lord, what happens if we slip down and fall?!? I don't want to die or have a broken bone! Oh gosh should I do it?

Well Toby will be there to protect you so why panic?

After a prep talk to myself, I was ready. I grab his hand and slowly crawl out of the window and manage not to slip and fall on the way out. With wobbly legs, I hobble towards the area where Toby set up and sat down beside him. Tonight the sky was beautiful. Never have I ever seen a sky with so many stars twinkling brightly.

"Wow.." I whispered unbelieving. My eyes were admiring the dark navy blue sky that hung twinkling diamonds randomly across the it everywhere.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Toby asked and I nodded my head in response, unsure of what to say because I am speechless right now.

"Thanks for bringing me up here," I said. He scooted closer towards me and pull me close to him. My head resting on his shoulder and his on mine head.

"It was nothing. Just to kill time and thought it'd be romantic to bring my girlfriend up here," he teased. Good thing that it was night time, if not, he'll be witnessing a tomato right now.

"I wish we could stay like this. The quiet silent and watching the stars together," I said as I shut my eyes tightly and sigh.

"But nothing last forever." Toby emphasize. I pull myself away from him and stare at him for awhile.

"Then we will make them last and every minute count." I told. He smiled at me and kiss my lips and I responded back at him by kissing him back. Soft and delicate are his lips that I would describe as. Soft because they are so kissable. Delicate because every time we kiss, they are so gentle and seem what fragile.

"You know I love you right?" He said as he broke the kiss.

"Yes. And I love you too." I answered. He grin at me again and kiss my forehead, my nose , both side of my cheeks and lastly my lips. I giggle at every touch of his lips get in contact with my skin.

"I seriously don't know what I would do without you, Rosie," he said, using that horrible girly name as well.

I grimaced at him and hit his arm, "Don't call me that, Tobes!"

He continued to teased me by calling me that name and I try to block out his voice by doing like every child does when their parents are nagging, sticking both your index finger into each one of your ear and ignore.

After our mini childish act, we sat still in silent. Lately, something has been on my mind and I really try to ignore the thought away but seem to always think about it. So I decided to open up to Toby about this right now.

"Tobes?" I called.

"Mmhm?" He tore his gaze away from the sky and look at me.

"I-I-I have something up in my mind and is bugging me..." I stuttered a little. I was scared a little to open this topic up to him. But sooner or later he has to know.

"What it is?" He asked, getting very worried and concern about me. He wrap his arms around me and I suddenly got even timid.

"I.. I.. uhm.." I was very unsure of how to put it in a way that won't make me look like some weirdo.

Okay, Rose, don't panic and just take deep breath. Calm yourself and say it when you're ready.

I told myself. I took deep breaths and eventually manage to calm myself a little.

Toby was still looking at, waiting for what I have to say. It is now or never.

"Okay. Well, I know I sound stupid and silly but... What would you do if I was gone?" I said, finally getting off that topic if my chest. At least I manage not to roll off those words off my tongue. I almost wanted to swallow back those words.

"As in? What do you mean?" He asked, getting a little no clue of what I am saying.

"As in what if I was dead. What will you do?" I asked.

He look away from me and stare deeply at nothing. It took him a few minutes before finally process my words and got an answer.

"Why are we discussing about this?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

I shrug, "Because I couldn't stop thinking about it."

"Well don't think about it. I don't like it." He informed and I quickly nodded my head. He seem pissed off at what I had just said to him but I did get off that thing off my chest.

"Sorry for asking." I apologise after a few minutes of silent. I was feeling guilty for asking that stupid question. I was stupid. I shouldn't had asked it anyway. Just let it eat me up until no more.

"Don't be. I was actually thinking about it during that silent. But just don't ask about it again alright princess? I hate it," he said. I just nodded my head and let him rub my back and draw circle on it. I like that. I like the feeling of that whenever he does it.

"Rose, if you're ever gone. I'll always be thinking of you and I'll deeply miss you. You're the love if my life princess."
