Chapter 21

"I'll let you think about it alright? Now, go to sleep. You have school tomorrow right?" my grandpa said as he kiss my forehead and said a goodnight. Well.. I really have no idea whether to leave. But it's not like I'm going to stay at California forever, I'll be just visiting them and clear my mind on things.. And.. it wouldn't be that bad right? 

"Well.. we'll just have to see about that," I mutter to myself. I should probably be away from Toby awhile and Liz.. wait, Liz! Oh god damn it! I totally ditch her today! Oh my god. I'm such a bad friend, she probably hates me for ditching her like that. Gosh. I have a fuck up life. 

Grabbing my phone from under my pillow, I unlock it and saw lot's of messages. Spam by Liz. Oh Liz, how am I gonna tell you about this? But I still have to. Sliding onto one of the messages she text me, I read. 

From: Liz :)

Hey girl! Where are you??

R:

Hi Liz. When you read this message your probably really ferocious with me for ditching you today with your friends. But I have to tell you something...

From: Liz :)

Hey Rose.. well I am pretty pissed off but what's the thing you have to say to satisfy my affections?

R: Well, how bout I'll tell you tomorrow? After school I'll meet you at the mall?

From: Liz :)

- Next day, after school -

I was on my way to the mall and there, I saw Liz waiting at a nearby frozen yogurt store. She look at her watch and back up to check where I was. Okay, it's now or never. You have to tell her everything. I made my towards her and stood in front of her and wave a shy hello. "Hi.. Liz.. are you still mad at me?" I ask her quietly. "Kinda.. but I'll get over it soon. Hey you want some frozen yogurt? Then we could sit and talk while enjoying some yogurt," she said. 

"Sure, but it'll be my treat for ditching you," I stated. We waited in line and started browsing through the glass window that protects the yogurt? I don't know what the hell I'm talking about but you get what I mean right? "Hm.. what are you getting? I'll have mango," I said and look up at her who was still looking at each flavour they have. "I'll get the passion fruit." 

Once the first person in front of me finish getting his order, it was our turn. "Hi, erm, can I have one mango and passion fruit?" I told the guy who work here (AN: I don't know what is the term for that but if you do, please let me know!). Though he actually look pretty cute and his blonde swoosh hair fits perfectly on him.

"Alright, what size do you girls want?" he ask and points to three different cups. One small, medium and large. "We'll get the medium size one," Liz said, the guy gave a small nod before heading over to the freezer thingy and scoop up the yogurt and plop it into the cups. Once he was done, he brought it back to us and while I rummage through my purse to find $20. 

After I payed him, Liz and I went to find a seat to settle down. 

"So.. spill," she said immediately. Yo girl.. chill. "Alright, well what yesterday is that I had passed out in the middle of my school hallway," I spoke. "Girl did you have breakfast?! Because that is the most importantly meal of the day no wonder you passed out-" "No.. I did had breakfast but it was during recess time and I was walking towards the cafeteria but I saw the Queen bee with her friends. And by Queen bee, I meant she's a bully. So I had no choice to hide in the toilet, then I waited for a few minutes then check if she wasn't there anymore, but to my expectation, she was still there, waiting for me to come out."

"So we had a little 'chit chat' and blah blah blah, she was on her way to the cafeteria but instead of walking away from me, she hit me down to the floor. And that is where things got.. really painful and I just passed out," 

Liz frown, "So you have this bully in your school and does she only bullies you? Or.. she bullies the entire school?" she ask, worriedly.

"Nah.. she doesn't bully the entire school, just the freshman and the nerds. And I'm one of them.." I said, shamefully.

"Well does your mum knows about this? Does the principal knows about this either?!" she exclaimed all of a sudden, causing some passerby's and a few people in the store to look at us weirdly and making a face of annoyance. "Sshh.. calm down. Yes my mum does knows about this.. yesterday and the principal knows about this too but she can't do anything about it to change her," I told her while taking a spoon full of my frozen yogurt. 

"Geesh.. well, do you had any friends in your school?" she ask, her eyes full with concern as she look at me. "Well.. only one, his name is Toby Mcdonough, perhaps you ever heard of him before?" 

"You're friends with one third of Before You Exit?!" she gasp so loudly then squeal. "So I take that as a yes?" I answered. "Oh my god.. can you take me to meet them someday? I really love their music so much and it would be a dream come true to meet them!" she pleaded, her eyes forming the 'puppy dog'. 

"How about I take you to meet them today?" I suggested and that causes her eyes to light up enthusiastic. "You're not kidding right?" she doubled check me if I was just joking around. Erm.. does it look like I'm kidding? 

"I'm not kidding, now let's go!" I reassured her while grabbing her hand and we walk out the store, on our way to my house.
