As we were about to walk inside my home, I heard my phone ring. Fishing it out from my pocket, I answer;

"Hello?"

"Hey sweetie. I'm sorry but I won't be home until tomorrow because there's this patience who is really ill and I have to take the midnight shift since my friend Kate has to leave early for some important things. So I called Aunt Joan on letting you stay over at her house and she agreed."

"Oh.. Alright then..Bye mum love you."

"Love you too honey. Bye."

And the phone line ended.

"Well looks like we're going over your house," I said, "my mum is working until tomorrow morning.. So I'm staying over.. Though I don't know why she doesn't let me stay at home all alone. I am capable of protecting myself. As if there's a bad guy who wants to rape me or something, psh.."

"Well at least you have some company instead of being alone right?" He said which made me thinking that he was right. If I'm alone at home, I'll probably be dying of boredom and I have clearly no one to text too, well except for Toby. Other than that, I have some geeks and nerds friends.. But you get what I mean. "Yeah you got a point. Well, do you want to come over my house to help me pack or?" I ask him and he insisted on helping me.

Well, it's kind of weird to let a boy help you pack your stuff, especially your undergarments..

-At Toby's Room-

We had already ate our dinner which was really nice. Connor had actually made a nickname for me and you wanna what was it? It's Sunshine. He says I made him smile and we both don't know why.. Riley was really fun to be with. His like a another loving brother beside Connor. But Riley seem to have this happy, fun spirit which could just make me smile all day. And for Connor? His like my guard. To be more precise, my security guard. He says if anyone ever made fun of me or hurt me, he'll take them down piece by piece. But that was just a joke, he'll find that person and told them to back off. I find them really sweet for doing this to me.

I never had such amazing friend especially Toby. He makes me all tingly inside.. I just can't describe how much he made me feel whenever he just says my name.

"So.. Rose, are you sure you wanna tell me your story?" Toby ask.

"Yeah.." I took one deep breath and said, "Well my dad died in a terrifying scene I ever witness with my own naked eyes. He-he got shot by a gun. I don't know why but it was terrifying and I was only six years old.. It was just a really nice day, just me and my dad walking down the empty street. But there were few people of course. We were going to get some ice-cream but as we were walking, I heard a loud gunshot and sooner or later, I heard sirens coming. I look up to see my dad but he wasn't standing up, but when I look down.. " My eyes just pour out tears quickly, like the waterfall. Toby awkwardly place his arms around me but soon got comfortable with it. I snuggle close to him as if he was some protection or something.

"Rose.. You know you can just stop here and just not think about-"

"No, I must continue... I saw my dad lying there, lifelessly. All I knew I was crying ever so loudly and I heard the police and paramedics coming towards me. Then, my dad said his last words before he stop breathing.. He-he said.. 'Roselle, honey.. I'm sorry I couldn't be the best dad you wanted but, your my most beautiful, precious daughter I ever had.. Tell your mum I truly love her..' and with those words, he just black out. Then all I know I was being pulled away from the police woman's and I saw my dad being carried to the ambulance van.. And the next day, my dad died. They couldn't do anything about it and I didn't understand what on earth the doctors were saying to me except my mum who understood.. I didn't wanna ask her what did the doctor had said cause I didn't wanna know anything anymore.." I hid my face on the crook of his neck and he just draw circles around my back trying to comfort me.

"I'm so sorry to hear about your dad lost.. And you were such a young age.." He said. We both lay down on his comfy bed and he puts his arms around me, securing me and I never been in someone's arms for such a long period of time. Ever since my dad was gone, no one ever does these things to me..

"Toby.." I mumble his name. "Yes Rose?" He reply to me back, "I just want to say thank you for being such a great friend to me.. You're really sweet and kind to me.. No one ever been this nice to me.. Or even compliment me, well only my dad calls me beautiful.. But this is the first time I ever heard it from a boy.. I know sounds ridiculous.." I let out an awkward chuckle.

"Your most welcome. And when I call you pretty, I really meant it. But how come you only heard it from me? Don't your other friends calls you that too?" He ask as he seated straight up.

"Well.. Its hard to explain it, and I don't want to talk about it," I said with a sigh.

"Okay," he let out a yawn then said,"I'm going to go sleep now. Good night Rose." He said as he went down to the mattress on the floor that his mum had given. "Okay, night Toby." I said and soon, both of us drifted off sleeping.

-2:30AM-

"Oh em gee, look at how she dressed up today. So ugly like an ugly duckling." Kelsie said. "HAHA, no wonder Toby had left you because he thinks your a fat ass. Maybe that's why nobody wants to be with you., only nerd and geeks. HAHA" Kelsie said as everyone started to laugh loudly through the hallways. Toby then came to the scene looking at me in disgust. He held Kelsie by the waist and said, "Get lost Rose, no one wants you here." And the crowd starts to laugh even louder and started teasing me. I quickly got up from my feet and push my legs to run. I kept running through the hallways until it was pitch black. I didn't know where I was going but all I heard was laughter's filled the air.

"GET AWAY! GET AWAY ALL OF YOU! STOP LAUGHING! STOP IT!" And as I said those words, it stops and I saw a bright light coming towards me. As it got closer, it sucked me into it. I started to scream even louder and cried out loud as if someone can help me. But soon, I hit the ground and I saw an empty street and it bring back so many memories. It was the time my dad and I had bought ice-cream and where the incident happen. I walk closely to my younger self but it disappear into thin air.

I gasp loudly and I think my dad had heard it. He turn to look at me and said, "Rose, is that really you?" His voice was still the same. And it has been what I always wanted to hear.

"Yes daddy. It's me, Rose!" I hugged him tightly and he return it back hugging me even more tightly. "Oh my gosh, my daughter is all grown up.. As beautiful as always.."

"Hehe.. Yeah.." was all I can say. But soon, he started to fade away, I started to panic and said, "No! Dad, don't go now! Please stay!" But he just wave good bye to me and he disappear.

"NO! DADDY! NO!" I cried loudly.

WHAT A DRAMATIC SCENE WE HAVE HUH?!? Soooooooo sorry for the cliffy but I just feel that it should be like that. Haha :)
