Chapter 50

"Rose, I'm coming home a bit late today again. And you know the usual, kids getting sick, so I am allowing you to stay over a bit at Janelle's place then I'll come over and fetch you. Is that alright?" My mum informed me over the phone as Toby and I walk back home hand in hand, swinging back and forth.

"Yeah sure. See you then, bye mum." I noted and ended the call before returning back to Toby's question which he has been throwing at me since school ended. "Well, Kelsie had shown the softer side of her and I was actually quite surprise. She was so kind and all.." I trailed off and told him the entire incident in the girl's bathroom.

"Wow.. She was actually nice to you? That is something strange for her to do that." Toby replied. We both stop in our tracks as we have reach home. Then he turn to face me and said, "Well, I'll text you once practice is over. And hopefully things go smoothly between you and Janelle. Call me if you need anything alright?" He pull me in for a hug and I gladly wrap my arms around him. When we both pull away we left a small gap between us, he lean forward to kiss my head. Then turning his head to his left, he pretend to look away and was waiting for something to happen.

I look at him weirdly before rolling my eyes, realising what he was waiting for. A kiss on the cheek from me. As I tip toe to reach his height, I went in but then he quickly turn his head in a swift and our lips lock together for awhile. I smile during the kiss and let go before playfully punching his chest and waving goodbye.

As I enter my house, silence envelopes me in. Groggily making my way upstairs to my room, I place my bag down and changed into something comfortable to go to Janelle's house. I grab my small cross body bag and fill it in with my wallet and stuff, also my cell phone. Soon, as I was tying up my hair, the doorbell rang and I rush down to get it. I didn't had to worry who was at the door because I only invited Liz over and no other guest. As I swung the door open, Liz had a mischievous grin on her face and those creepy stalker eyes.

I notice something was different with her today. She had chopped off her long hair up to her shoulder length. I must say, it really suits her face and personality because if I have to at least say one adjective about Liz, it would be reckless. She has this really good vibe and doesn't take a no for an answer. Being optimistic and adventurous is what Liz do best.

"Aloha sister!" Liz greeted. "What do you think of my new haircut?" She then started to model off her hair and did a few crazy poses. I laughed, "You look really nice with it, it practically suits you a lot!" I complimented.

She blush, "Hehe thanks! Anyway, you ready to go?" Liz motion her head towards outside. I look down at my outfit and nodded confidently before slipping on some flats that I had lying around near the shoe rack. Liz step aside for me to come out and I lock the door behind me then we both head off.

"So how is my Rose doing? Any new Toselle stuff going around? Hm?" She hooked arms with mine and wiggle her eyebrows teasingly. Liz has not let go of that ship name and forever will never. Even when she leaves back to Australia on the twenty-seven of December, she'll just keep asking about it. She lives with her dad down here in Florida while her mum stays in Australia. They are divorced and has been since Liz was twelve. She would often travel back and forth sometimes but she goes to school in her hometown which is Australia and it drives her mad crazy, but she doesn't mind the messed up life.

"I'm doing fine. And nothing much is going on with Toselle so don't expect too much." I informed. She then pouted at me before grabbing out her cell phone and going to the camera app. I look confusingly at her before I realised what she was doing. She wants to take a selfie.

"Let's take a selfie!" She exclaimed. 

Oh okay, I'll just wait for her to finish taking a photo of herself. I step back away from her to let her continue but she turn around and asked, "Why are you standing there? Come here!" She motioned for me to come but I shook my head.
