The next day, I had woken up before dawn and I was paying attention to my surroundings until I felt Ben get up and walk to the bathroom. I immediately checked my clock and it was 6:30 what is he doing up? I sighed and closed my eyes hoping to get some rest. The next thing I know I woke up since my alarm clock went off and I was pretty sure I could hear Ben talking downstairs.
I got up and went to the bathroom, I splashed some water on my face and then I went downstairs really quietly and I found Dylan with Ben, Dylan was sitting on a chair and Ben was sitting on the couch. Neither of them looked worried about something but Dylan did have an I will not only murder you but I will torture you until you beg me to kill you, he's watching too many horror movies.
" Good morning Caroline" Dylan was the first to notice me and he slowly turned his head towards me and his previous look softened to a smile as he got up and gave me a hug.
" How are you?" he whispered and I sighed.
" In a slight pain from yesterday, tired since I woke up pretty early and hungry" I said and Dylan giggled as he let me go. I walked in the kitchen and I found a cup of coffee waiting for me along with some cookies.
" I saved the first cup for you" Dylan said shyly and I smiled. I sat down and Dylan sat with me, he seemed tired but not my tired, like tired with a situation.
" I had a fight with Britt last night" he said as he looked at his cop and I lifted my head and I was about to say something but Dylan continued.
" Marry told me what happened she told me that I could tell you if I wanted to, but I believe she should be the one to break the news to you, I don't have the heart to do that to you" he said and I sighed.
" At Marry told you, I have to wait until today" I said and Dylan smiled a little bit, he still seemed sad though. I got up and I went behind him and rubbed his shouldered, that always seemed to calm him down.
"Hey, don't let get to you, OK? You are literally the strongest person I have ever known in my life and if you want, I'll take the day off and spend it with you and I will keep doing that until you feel strong again. We can drive to San Francisco if you want" I smiled and Dylan seemed more calm and he got up.
" You don't have to do that, baby girl" He smiled putting his hand on my cheek and I felt myself blush.
" You shouldn't be blushing" Dylan whispered and I rolled my eyes as I left.
I went to my work and I turned on my computer on and I started to work, at some point I called the reception and asked for a cup of coffee. A young girl brought it to me and I smiled at her. I kept working.
" Hey Carrie" Marry said sounding breathless , she sat down and she looked at me carefully. I sighed taking a sip from my coffee and I noticed the clock on my computer it was 4 pm and I sighed again.
" What ever you told Dylan almost shattered him" I said and she nodded sadly.
" Maybe he had a thing for her" she sighed and she took a deep breath until she noticed my shaking hands as I grabbed my cup.
" Is this your second cup of coffee?" she asked and I shook my head.
" Try 4th" I said and she frowned.
" I woke up around 6:30 and the I fell asleep again" I said drinking my coffee.
" Yeah, well that's enough caffeine for you" she said and took my cup away and took a deep breath.
" Do you remember on Halloween where you were dancing with Dylan and neither Benedict nor Britt paid attention to you and Dylan?" She asked and I nodded, I had the feeling she was trying to tell me what she told Dylan as smoothly as possible.
