A stray tear rolled down my cheek as I pulled my car into the driveway, the worry I felt for Melody was eating away at me, I needed to speak to my husband.

I unlocked the door, and as I opened it, my eyes met with the familiar friendly brown ones, I smiled briefly at him, took his hand and lead him into the living room.

His face turned from happy to confused as I set him down.

"Jordan, i'm really concerned about Melody."

He shot me a confused look.

"Why?"

I sighed and explained.

"She's becoming sad, nobody likes her at school apart from Ruby, and she is confused. She doesn't know who she really is. I'm worried this will make her more secluded, it may tear apart the family, and that's not what Crystal and Harvey would have wanted."

Jordan looked down, his greying hair falling over his face, then he looked up, his usual brown eyes transformed into a dark purple colour, in a train of thought.

"She's 16 now, her powers should start to show themselves soon right? Once that starts happening and she starts to come to us for answers, we will tell her."

I smiled at Jordan, and his purple eyes turned back to brown. He has half of his magic back from what I took out of him 14 years ago to help with Harvey and Crystal. The other half will go back into Ruby, when we deem her ready.

"Don't you think though, that not telling them they were magic and confiscating their magic stuff was a little harsh?"

Jordan faced me again.

"No, we want their lives to be as normal as possible until their powers show themselves."

"I don't think Melody perceives herself as normal because of her eyes, well, eye."

Jordan stood up, adjusting his signature black shirt and green shorts which he still wore after about 12 years.

"Melody will be fine, she can handle herself, you worry too much about her, she's still growing up, she's bound to be emotional."

I nodded, and remembered something.

"What about Ty, what if he finds her again?"

Jordan walked towards the kitchen to prepare himself some water, but shouted back.

"We can't even be sure if he's alive just yet, Crystal shot him in between the eyes, I saw the wound when I went to go check out the area when they all... died. Not many people survive a gunshot to the head."

I looked down, remembering a certain piece of information that I had neglected to tell anyone over all these years.

"Jordan, I never told you this before, but when I went out there to dispose of Ty's body, he was gone."

I watched as Jordan walked back  into the room and locked eyes with me, his face slowly turning very pale. He paced the room running his hand through his hair.

"Where could he have gone? Why didn't you tell me this before?"

I glanced up, guilt in my eyes.

"I didn't want you to worry about it."

Jordan rolled his eyes and sat back down in his seat.

"We'll have to keep a look out then."

I nodded and sat back next to him, looking into his eyes. He raised his hand to my face and pulled me into a kiss.

Once we pulled away he placed our foreheads on eachother and Jordan smiled and whispered.

"Don't worry, everything will be ok."
